Somewhere I saw an article about charging points for electric bikes where it stated that the 'charger' automatically senses what kind of battery & charges accordingly. Now I can't find the article, unfortunately I saved it on my notebook which I can't get my hands on at the mo' Does anyone...

In our case it's old age & disability. My wife loves her Izip Trek Enlightened as it enables her to keep up with the kids whilst I need all the help I can get.:D

The front-hub conversion on the blue bike reminds me of the old velosolex i used to own funny enough the reason I'm considering a Moulton is that I used to have a Raleigh Wisp moped and I fancy a crank-drive in order to use a 4 gear hub (speed isn't a priority)

I was wondering if anyone has tried fitting one of the Cyclone kits onto a old Moulton Frame. Obviously apart from the frame the rest would be built from new(ish) parts. Any ideas welcome.

I find your site very informative, one thing I would like to see in one place is a photo gallery of people's converted/home-built electric bikes. I've seen some brilliant conversions but never all on one site.

I would be concerned if the charger is getting hot. We charged the i Zip yesterday, took about 3 hrs. 'till the lights indicated fully charged and the fan switched off but it does its work and doesn't get hot at all.

If you are buying a half decent bike complete with battery I would expect there to be a charger with it.
