Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

Cheers Leigh. You're right if it wasn't an ebike I wouldn't view it the same. I would like to try and hire one for a day if i can.

    Brose motor problems

Hi Chris, That would have been great and thanks for the offer, but I'm going to be busy elsewhere all Saturday. I haven't ridden anything on the trails yet, or before that when it comes to it. I am basically hoping the ebike will help me get more into it. You are right that fat bikes will not...

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

I did actually mean a real park not car park, but I take your point. Up and down the grassy hill and steps isn't quite the same as proper trails. Some nice rides by the look of it. Not sure about the tight tricky stuff for me for a while though.

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

Forest of dean in only about 1½ from me so yes I can. I tried a couple of Levo's already, although just round the park and not on the trails. Nice bikes

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

Cheers Steve. The bike felt much better than the others I'd ridden so I'm happy with that. My only decision is whether this full sus version is worth the extra running costs compared to the HT. I guess its probably one of those things I unfortunately won't know until I committed to it and...

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

I'm glad you know what you're talking about. The only tweaking in the shop before my ride was swapping out the seat post and tyre pressure.

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

My reason for getting the ebike is age and mobility, but I must confess my inner child just can't get past those tyres. A lot of this probably is just from me wanting to ride around on something that looks like it came from Mad Max. :) The noise doesn't worry me, but the extra maintenance and...

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

That's a very good point that hadn't occurred to me. The discount on this bike is a lot more than just buying and fitting a fully locking shock.

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

The guy in the store did say upping the rear tyre pressure or the shock pressure would help. The 2017 bike has a full lock, but this was 2016. I'm kinda prepared for the extra tyre costs being fat and wearing quicker on the road. Initial purchase won't be any more expensive (bike is reduced...

    Brose motor problems

I will do quite a bit on the road with mine as It'll be the only bike I have. Just wonder if I'd be glad of the FS for the other stuff. going of curbs etc was fine on the HT fat bike I tested.

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

I know this is an age old question, but thought I ask again as I'm new to this. I have found so helpful comments throughout the forum, but not too much on Fat Bikes. I had a test ride on a Haibike Full fatsix today (going cheap in a sale) and loved it. My only problem was it had full...

    Brose motor problems

Going to start a new conversation, as I seem to have hijacked this one and gone off topic. Sorry

    Brose motor problems

Well it was a really good ride today. Loved the bike. It was a clearance of the 2016 model, hence the low price. £2600. It's made my mind up on the fat tyres, but the only doubt now is the suspension. It felt like a bit too much bounce on the normal roads, and most of my riding will be off...

    Brose motor problems

Damage in crashes is unavoidable really (apart from making sure you don't crash of course), but that won't influence my purchase decision. I expect I'll try and get a tough phone case if its a yamaha for example. I'm sure there must be one that fits. You're right about just knowing when you...

And yes, I do like the look of the Bulls display.

    Brose motor problems

I must confess to being a bit of a science nerd at heart, and quite like having the pointless data in front of me, such as distance left, what power level I'm in etc. I can appreciate though if you are trying to concentrate on a tricky downhill and nice clutter free bar is a good thing.

    Brose motor problems

I'm gradually building up my knowledge. Chatted to a lot of bike shops, some knowledgeable and some haven't got clue. Tried 5 bikes so far (2 Bosch, 2 Brose and 1 Yamaha), with mixed degrees of success. All of them were short tests however.

    Brose motor problems

I had a ride on both the Turbo Levo, and a Haibike with Yamaha PW at the weekend. Both were nice, but I think I preferd the Haibike overall. I also prefer to have the display in front of me, but main issues with the Levo was having to reach down for the battery to change settings and check...

Unbelievably bad experience with a Haibike SDURO Trekking S RX

I'm only planning to buy the one for me at the moment, but if I get into it enough then maybe another would come along in a couple of years when i've saved up again.

Unbelievably bad experience with a Haibike SDURO Trekking S RX

Just to add I have two more ride booked in this weekend. One on the Haibike fatsix, and the other on the specialzed turbo levo, so will hopefully give me a good comparison of fat vs plus, and the brose motor without the shift recognition as well.
