Be careful your rack may have a vertical frame that will also present problems to load to 1st rail from the side. Loading to 2nd rail will be hindered by 1st bike. MIght be worth checking.

@DouglasXK I have heard of tailgate mounted ones ripping off the rear of cars. Please add secondary safety. Cable through the towing eye. Just in case.

Original post had oversize tube, so I suspect the Thule towbar products won't fit. Best get a tyre grip style carrier.;)

The Inno looks good. Make sure your bike is under the 23Kg. Not sure if you can remove the battery on a Levo. If you are over weight, you need to go to towbar fix as Inno is about the highest spec I have seen advertised. Pretty sure Thule only go to 18Kgs. If you decide on a towbar fit then...

The only currently available roof versions that do not hold the down tube, I am aware of are the Yakima Frontloader, but it states 40Lbs limit. The Inno tyre holder states 23Kg. Not cheap.

Forgot to mention if you take the batteries off, which is a good idea, then make sure to cover the terminals. Not sure if I have seen a bike with a cover yet, and I am told that fixing the electrics is not easy/cheap.

The Thule 9403 has maximum single bike weight of 15Kg each. I suspect you will be above this even with the batteries removed.

I would recommend removing the batteries during transport and covering the terminals to avoid corrosion. It will help with the loading, and stress on the bike and rack. Also be careful where you clamp on the frame, especially if carbon, involved as most of the manufacturer's suggest not to...

I have worked in the car industry for 20 years. I think the car was a great liberator, but now it is a victim of it's own success. Not too happy about the pollution and congestion they cause. Perhaps cycles and pedelecs are an answer especially in the cities.
