    2018 ORBEA GAIN

I'm relieved to know I'm not alone, there are 4 cars, 5 motorbikes (soon to be 6). 2 ebikes and 1 roadbike (soon to be converted) currently on the premises. How does it happen?.

    Double battery problem

Thanks for that Benjahmin, still a bit unclear as to whether some or all can't view the photos. Anyway, back to my original problem, you'll recall that fitting the second battery induced the steering wobble. I refitted the downtube battery to test the above theory, up and down the road several...

    2018 ORBEA GAIN

There's me thinking I had too many toys, makes me feel much less guilty.

    Double battery problem

Using 'google pics' for the first time, always relied on photobucket previously. Any good now?.

    Double battery problem

Thanks for pointing that out, post edited. I'll try that later today, I'll be amazed if it works. I agree, it's not good to have the weight high and so far from the C of G, but I was surprised that adding weight low down and close to centre had the effect it did.

    Double battery problem

I wasn't sure in which section to post this, but following on from an earlier post I thought this as good a place as any. I use my Ancheer MTB for day to day running around, for rides with friends on the weekend, I use my old Raleigh fitted with a Cyclotricity front wheel kit. The bike :- A...

KT lcd3 on a Cyclotricity kit

That's ok, I thought I might have to use a wheel mounted sensor, I wasn't sure whether the motor had one. It's good to know that the LCD1 works, that shows the connections are the same.

KT lcd3 on a Cyclotricity kit

Thanks for the replies, I'm good to go with the two battery setup. Thanks for the link Nealh, currently out of stock (perhaps that's why they're so cheap !), they've promised to email me when new stock arrives. At that price it's worth a punt, if it doesn't work I'll pass it on, or keep it for...

KT lcd3 on a Cyclotricity kit

I have a Cyclotricity front wheel kit (throttle only) installed on my steel framed Raleigh road bike, I'd like to try it with PAS. If I'm going to do it, it would be nice to have all the functions of the LCD3. Cyclotricity don't list the LCD3 on their website, and haven't replied to my email...

    Helmets - again!

A few years ago whilst driving home from work along a relatively quiet road, I came upon a cyclist laying in the road. He was unconscious, having left a good piece of his scalp on the tarmac, he wasn't breathing properly and was turning blue. I put him in the recovery position which probably...

I have took a bit of a gamble.

I bought an one a couple of months ago, only covered around 100 miles so I can't comment on long term reliability. All the components are low end quality but functional. I don't think you'll be disappointed, I paid £415 from an Ebay seller based in Germany and would buy another one without...

The brilliant (IMHO) Lidl saddles are back.

Popped in to buy a saddle, came out with a saddle, chain scrubber, dry lube and a service stand which is well designed and sturdy enough for an ebike. I would recommend one to anyone who does they're own maintenance.

    First proper rideout

I installed a Cyclotricicty front wheel kit with a 11Ah rack battery to my old steel framed Raleigh a few weeks ago, yesterday was the the first 'proper' run with a couple of friends, mostly county lanes and cycle track. Previously I'd only covered 40 or 50 miles on short trips as a shakedown...

    Ancheer first impressions

Must have lost my Firefox add on which allows 3rd party hosting. I can see the photo now, but I don't know if everyone else can.

    Battery cover

A bit of lateral thinking on my part reveals any number of very cheap nylon and neoprene thermos flask covers are available. No time to check sizes at the moment, the sun is shining and I'm out for a ride.

Funny you should say that, photo taken last Tuesday at that very location.

    Ancheer first impressions

Thanks for that, I've not seen that review, pretty much sums it up. raindrops, perhaps I was lucky, or maybe it's just not suitable for the mechanically inept? 'the bike shop called back with a list of impossible things to fix'. I wouldn't be asking them for help, I'd just send it back!

    Should lights be mandtory

Compulsory? absolutely not !, imagine being held responsible/ sued for damages for an accident because your light wasn't bright enough, or didn't comply with CE markings. What next ? Just popping to the shop might involve donning a helmet, high viz vest, ankle protection, CE marked gloves...
