Driver passes too close despite lollipop on passing side

Most drivers are fine, but you've got the ones who think cyclists "shouldn't be on the road" and blow past them in their big cars as if they own the road.

These scooters aren't as easy to ride as you think either, you need practice/training really

    KT controller

Hi there yes it does, but it won't allow over 15mph, if you pedal faster and set it, the speed drops to 15mph and it sits at that speed

Boy, 14, questioned after woman dies following e-scooter crash

They are already banned, although there's not many of them on the roads round here. The only way to stop people using e scooters, is to ban the sale of them completely. As it is you can buy them from Halfords and other major stores as well as online. l have to say, that if these had been...

Driver passes too close despite lollipop on passing side

I had similar last night, coming up to a junction (fortunately l was turning left) and a car came flying round on my side of the road, he didn't change course when he saw me so it's a good job l was over to the left.

    Lightweight stepthrough for motorhome

The O/P hasn't been back since posting his question. Hopefully the advice given above by people who took the time to write it won't be wasted, and someone else will find it useful.

    KT controller

Thank you l will have a look later. l managed to turn on the cruise function in the setup menu, although you need a manual to go through it all. l also found an option to turn on the throttle, but l didn't bother with that.

    KT controller

So you are saying it could well be restricted to around 16mph on account of the motor itself being designed to do that speed under full power? And the reason you can increase the "max speed" on the display to (say) 20mph, and it doesn't make any difference, is because the motor physically won't...

    KT controller

Does nobody know the answer to this? l thought these controllers were widespread and popular. l know that on the more expensive mid-drive MTB's the display is just that, it doesn't contain the operating software. But l wondered if these hub-drive folding ebikes were the same, or if the...

    KT controller

My ebike has the KT-LCD5 controller fitted, if l change the controller for one off ebay will l be able to adjust the maximum assist speed? Not that it will go that much faster, it's a single speed so l guess 18mph will be about it. But, can anyone tell me is the restriction in the...

    Halfords Advanced Ebike helmet

My helmet has certainly saved me on more than one occasion, once when l crashed on a track and head butted a dry stone wall, and the other time l came off in a gully and went down sideways on to rocks. I wouldn't have liked the damage sustained to the helmet, to have been my head. Agree they...

Easiest way to increase top speed from 25kph to 35kph on 250w fatbike

That makes sense. So the motor is designed with the U.K. speed limit in mind by the looks of it.

Easiest way to increase top speed from 25kph to 35kph on 250w fatbike

Ah okay lf l set the cruise on my bike to an indicated 15.5mph it will only manage it for a short time and then it ends up around 14.5mph Bearing in mind that's an actual speed of around 16mph So if l were to de restrict it, unless the wind was behind me l doubt it would go any faster on...

    Lightweight stepthrough for motorhome

My Mirider weighs 17kg, that's light enough to lift into the back of a car when folded. The Raleigh looks okay, but it's more expensive, 3kg heavier, and doesn't have disc brakes. Plus it's generally larger but should still fit in any caravan or motor home when folded. Mirider claim "up to 48...

Easiest way to increase top speed from 25kph to 35kph on 250w fatbike

Hub drive motors clearly have a rpm limit as mentioned above, with a mid drive motor it's different as you are driving the rear wheel through your gears, so in high gear my friend's de-restricted Cube ebike rips up to 26mph. (where legal of course) I was interested to see how fast my hub drive...

    Lightweight stepthrough for motorhome

l would recommend the Mirider 1 lt's lightweight around 17kg has a good range of power levels and also rear suspension which makes a big difference on rougher roads and tracks. l've done 400 miles on mine since buying it a couple of months ago, and it's great fun. lt folds up and fits into a...

Folding ebike that can go off road

The motor is the same as the Mirider and that will happily assist past 15mph. However the Mirider is a single speed so spins out at around 18mph. l would imagine the Woosh having 8 gears would be better.
