How do you transport your bike/s?

In the not too distant future we hope to have 2 electric bikes. They are obviously a lot heavier than our road bikes even with their batteries removed. I would just like to know how other forum members transport their bikes from place to place when they are not riding them. Steve

    The continuing search

I am still on my search for my first Pedelec and learning things all the time. I am in Denmark and yesterday Jannie and I tested a Mosquito Street Energy ED2 which had all the nice things like B&M lights and Schwalbe tyres but there seemed to be no power in it. I have been sending e-mails...

    Solutions to video camera shake

I am due a new camera Paul but I have still to see some still photos taken with this camera. Looking at the videos they are super smooth but because it is a wide angled lens it distorts the picture. Like you I cannot justify spending that much on something I would hardlings use. Steve

Cycle Road Rage - Camera Evidence!

It is a good I wasn`t the bike rider because that driver would have been laying on the floor waiting for the police to arrive. I am not one to start a ruck but I am well capable of finishing one. I don`t mind being abused verbally if I am on a bike, motorbike or in the car. I just ignore it...

    Solutions to video camera shake

I have looked into this for the bike and motorbike and the best solution I have found is the GoPro Hero HD. YouTube - GoPro HD HERO camera: Mountain Bike Clip Affordable if you are seious about it. Steve

    Chain cleaning and oiling...

It may be an old wives tale but are you not supposed to change the cassette when you change a chain. I never have but I never listen to old wives either. If motorcycle spray is good enough for my motorbike it is good enough for all my bikes. Steve

    A newbie question

Thanks for that guys. Thank you for the welcome Jerry. Don`t be too harsh on people Jerry. I ride a Moto Guzzi motorcycle and so am used to grumpy old men who think everyone should know everything about anything:) What with the invention of the Copenhagen wheel I did not think it was all...

    A newbie question

This is actually a question from my girlfriend Jannie, who is Danish. The Danes are very enviromentally friendly. She would like to know if there is a system in place where your pedalling would help to replace the power in your battery as you pedal along. Not to save the power in the battery...

Solutions to video camera audio noise (wind)

I have also had this problem on the motorbike and another way I solved it was to stop at interesting places and record there. When cycling I would imagine the noise is reduced if you have a back wind. Or pick a quiet day as I did for my Youtube debut. The voice is a book on my GPS...

Solutions to video camera audio noise (wind)

I do not think there is much you can do about the wind noise. The solution is to remove the sound altogether and put a music track over the top of it. Steve

    Garmin Edge 305

The cadence and heart monitor is of no importance to me on an ebike, although I do use them on my road bike. It is the basic navigation and tracking I am more interested in. We use the PC to plot rides before arriving at our holiday destinations and then download them to the Garmin. I would...

    Garmin Edge 305

I have a Garmin Edge 305 cycle computer and am looking at buying an e.bike with a front hub motor. I have read that a front hub motor can effect cycle computers. Will I still be able to use my Garmin Edge. It is one of the best pieces of kit I have ever bought for a bike. Steve

    Track your bike.

ETim, the link you have posted is the tracker I have for my motorbike. When I go on holiday I leave it in the pannier overnight. The pannier is a locked case and the GPS works fine from within. It comes with 2 batteries and you need 2 because the battery life once charged is about 12...

UK: worse condition roads in the world?

I would like to get up and say we have it worse than you but I live in Denmark and of course we don`t. We are kept away from the roads for the majority of the time and our cycle paths are indeed silky smooth. But our roads are suffering as well and as a motorcyclists can be bad news...

LONDON Marathon successfully measured using an Agattu

A good story to start the day and also a blast from the past for me. I was serving in the military in London in the early 80s and was a keen long distance runner. I watched Hugh Jones cross the finishing line to win the London marathon, 1982 I think. Nice to see he is still fit and well. Steve

    Mosquito bikes

There is also Mosquito bikes in london...very high tech. I do not think this Mosquito bikes is the same as the e-bay one as they are in our top bike shops. Apart from that the B&M lights and Schwalbe tyres would cost more than the bike. :) I will keep you all posted as to how we...

Advantages and disadvantages of e-bikes over conventional bikes?

I am yet to buy my first electric bike but it will possibly be a Mosquito Street Energy ED3 which comes as standard with Schwalbe tyres, B&M lights ,Nuvinci gears and a 36v battery. Not what I would call sub standard equipment. The only disadvantage I can see at the moment is I cannot take...

What were the main worries queries you had before purchasing your e-bike?

My girlfriend Jannie and I are both cyclists. In our small shed there are 2 TREK road bikes, a TREK mountain bike (Jannies) a TREK street bike (Mine) and a Bacchetta Giro 26 recumbent (Mine). We went to an exhibition in an old mill at the weekend where we had seen electric bikes would be on...

    Mosquito bikes

I am in Denmark and am looking for my first electric bike. I was considering fitting a kit to my road bike but I have gone against that idea because I like my road bike for excerise and I also like it just the way it is. I have now found a company called Mosquito bikes in Denmark. They...
