I got a rear wheel puncture and took the wheel off to change the tube. Putting it back on was a pain but I managed it. However, when I switch it on the LCD display lights up but the motor won't kick unto life when I pedal it. Also the speedometer isn't working it just sits at zero. What can I...
I don't think so but why would you want to? It's like your car odometer it also doesn't reset.
BTW, congratulations on choosing the Kudos, I've got over 1000 miles on my Kudos Tourer and still loving it.
If you hold the 'down' button on the control panel for a few seconds seconds it will re-set the trip, timer and maximum speed all back to zero. It will leave the odometer reading your total mileage.
I am thinking about buying one of these: Wiggle | VDO MC1.0 Plus Wireless Cycle Computer Cycle Computers
It says it tells you the gradient of the hill you're on. Has anyone got/tried one? If so, is it any good? Does it work?
Is the wired one or the wireless one better for the e-bike?
I was out on my bike this morning. A nice run on deserted back roads in the sun then home. It was a perfect day in fact. What made it perfect? When I got home my wife made me Bacon, Eggs & toast. Washed down by a mug of Bewley's Irish breakfast tea.
Flecc, put yourself in my shoes, I'm Scottish and I'm teatotal. Try explaining that to a policeman in France. Actually try going into a pub in England and ordering a Coca Cola in a Scottish accent.
As to the breathalysers though, where do you buy them?
I'm going to Germany in a few weeks on the Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry. I'm going in a pick up truck and was thinking of sticking my e-bike in the back. Does anyone know if ferries have a problem with e-bike batteries or anything?
On the flat with no wind my bike will sit at 16/17mph with little effort. 18 if I try. No doubt the bike could go faster it's the rider who is the weak link in the equation. Mind you, on the flat with no wind it will still do 15 with me doing no work. :) Does that mean I'm only putting in 1 or 2...
I can only speak for myself of course but for me a torque sensor would be a no no on an electric bike. Part of the reason I'm so fond of my present bike is that as long as I'm turning the pedals, no matter how lightly, the power is all there for me. In my area I am either going up hill or...
When I'm cycling up the hills near me the gradient changes regularly. This means I'm up and down the gears constantly. With a hub gear how would I change down a gear when pedalling uphill? If I have to stop pedaling for a second to change gear, wouldn't the momentum come off the bike?
Before I bought the Kudos I had only ever tried a quick shot on one bike and that was an Alien with a throttle. I decided that I needed a throttle, then I bought the Kudos without a throttle and i've not missed a throttle. When I can't be bothered working hard I just turn the pedals really...
I've never had a bike with suspension, font or rear. I think suspension might suit me though as Im getting softer as I get older. It would, however, need to be good quality as I'd hate to buy a bike then find out it didn't work or wasn't reliable. I guess that would probably increase the price...
