    SRAM EX1 first impressions review

great, actually I replaced mine now :) after about 1471 km then. I can say that is way too long to use it (with a Bosch CX-drive). The smaller cogs and the drive cog is weared too much so the drive train is not running smoothly here :) but I don't feel like changing anything more right now. So I...

Charger - Mean Well HLG Led driver

nice to see another HLG-user! How do you monitor charge (current)? About the balancing, I'm no expert at BMS'es but I think it occurs by itself when just connecting the cells to something. Like when you pour water in a ice cube tray, when it reaches the top it starts to even out so every cube...

Charger - Mean Well HLG Led driver

Been chasing for the perfect charger for some time now. Got the next thing to try. A Led driver unit with adjustable voltage and current. As I use 42V battery and currently has a 2A cheap china charger I went for this 185W model that can charge with maximum 42V and 4.4A. Mean Well HLG-185H-42A...

My Shimano 10s cassette (CS‐HG62) has lasted 10815km = 6720mi !!! but I got tired of it before it weared out :) now on shelf :) (almost every km of that is on wheel motor bike, they must be very gentle to the drive train)

...that was really bad. My cassette has been rolling 1471km = 914mi and still looks good. Have not changed chain either. But will do soon.

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

great, yes, the components need to match. Great that you seem to have find the one. I had also problem with my 1x9 setup. Hard to find with correct BCD, but Garbaruk had all sorts of variations I needed: https://garbaruk.com/

Is it a normal chain ring or a narrow wide? (NW has different widths on every second tooth) Sent from my eBike through Tapatalk

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

well, maybe shorten the chain (4 links) just a little to get the same derailleur swing

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

I like granny gears :) have lots of steep hills. On my eMTB I have 48T biggest cog. You just have to set the assist level to a littlle lower (3 of 5 for example) and then just pedal easy up any hill.

    Winners DC-DC converter/charger module

...oh boy! I have bad news. This feature with the blinking light. This is NOT a feature, it behaves like that because it doesn't ramp down, it malfunctions. And it brakes! Actually that made my second unit brake down. Unstable output current now and it makes a whining sound. I thought it was...

    SRAM EX1 first impressions review

Half-year follow up: I said I should change the EX1 to something else. Well, that something took forever to get and meanwhile I have kind of getting to like the EX1 more and more, especially the cassette. So... I keep the EX1 a little longer... :) The big cogs are really nice to have. I...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Saint Patrick's Day Ride oh man what a day! today I had the "day off", not many times that coincidence with fantastic weather. So I was out in my local nature reserve just around the corner and took the full 25km-tour around it, but the lakes was frozen so I could pass the lakes also. Which I...

    Winners DC-DC converter/charger module

...yes, it works the same way. Actually it seems to have more features than it looks like. It ramps down the charge current when closing in on set voltage level. And you can always monitor voltage/current level, very neat. Yesterday I tried with a laptop PSU 19V / 4.2A. It should be just enough...
