Nuvinci or Rohloff with belt drive for low maintenance. If you willing to put up with higher maintenance of derailleur but want lower running costs. Replace 11spd XT with XT 9spd, for commuting 11-36 cassette should be more than enough. 9spd cassettes and chains are lot cheaper than 11spd and...

All the other brands have similar rack to scott with limited weights. Delite and Homage are only bikes with full suspended racks plus capable of 25kg. For commuting 10-15kg should be plenty.

Full suspension touring bike with panniers and mud guards

A few of main ebike brands are offering 2019 model FS MTB setup as tourers/commuters with rack, mudguard and lights. Bulls, Trek and maybe Gaint. Look other brands also. Unfortunately most of these are lower spec models but you maybe able to buy factory mudguards and racks to fit high spec...

[Driving Test] Mid-Drive+Torque Sensor VS Hub Motor+Cadence Sensor

You experiences are similar to mine. The cadence sensing hub drive assist levels were more like speed control which went in 5kmh steps ie 10, 15....30kmh. Made fine speed control very difficult. For most riding its not big issue and is actually plus for sweat free commuting or cruising. In...

Would this bike be suitable for ebike conversion

I think you are asking to much of this style of bike. The handling, braking and tyres aren't really suitable for sustained speeds over 20mph, plus upright position is not very aerodynamic. A hybrid or hardtail MTB might be better option.

If you think its hub gears check alignment of selector at hub. If nexus 8, line marks up in 4th gear. Also consider swapping for Bosch version with the new Active Plus drive.

    Tires + Tubes

https://enduro-mtb.com/en/the-best-tubeless-tire-inflator-system/ 12v compressors are an alternative to floor pump. I use 40L/min one run from 12V gelcel so portable. Ideal size for changing tyres but not enough grunt to set tubeless tyres, would need to be combined with reservoir like Schwable...

    Bosch Power Stations

Something like lockers at pools would be good, just needs power point and some venting. Pay for xhours and locker uses coded entry. Could also be used for phone and laptop charging. Best have them in a cafe for security, plus cafe is likely to get some business.

Commuting on roads on FS and HT

It comes down to how particular you are about maintenance. I know lot riders who've never had there suspension or linkages serviced after years of riding, while others will do it every 3-6months. There is definitely marked improvement if suspension has be serviced after a long period of no...

    My first ebike......

You can't fly with most ebike batteries. There are exceptions but for most of us its a no go. In regards to test rides. My sister took wife's ebike for test ride to shops 5 minutes away. The 5 minute trip turned into an hour, would've be longer if wasn't dusk.

Commuting on roads on FS and HT

I never lockout rear even on road, leave in trail and switch to descent for rough tracks and descent. Only time I'd lockout front is on windy downhill roads to stop it diving under heavy braking.

    2019 bikes

The price will drop till all of last years models are gone, but so will choice of frame sizes and colours.

    Giant vs trek

Gaint has 27.5+ rims/wheels and better fork. Two most important items if planning to use it for MTBing occasionally. Frame fit is still number one deciding factor. Make sure you do a 1-2hr test ride.

    Bosch CX error code 530

Maybe intermittent connection issue. 1) make sure battery is tight in holder, no rattling. 2) check, clean (cotton bud with isopropyl ie brake cleaner) , grease (electrical contact grease) battery holder terminals. 3) wires between holder and motor. Remove motor cover and wiggle cable while...
