    Brexit, for once some facts.

Don't two thirds of MPs need to agree to a GE before it can be called? That means a lot of Tori MPs will need to back a GE, that strikes me as needing Turkeys to vote for Christmas. I would be very surprised if they would do that, having said that nothing surprises me nowadays when it comes to...

I was thinking about this today while I was out riding and I think what is happening is that I am reducing the likelihood of being overtaken by another cyclist, but I am not traveling faster or even as fast as many young fit riders on decent quality racing bikes. I think the following is what...

Did you watch him when he was talking about the Skripal case he could not bring himself to say anything about Russian involvement. Many Labour MPs were pulling their hair out over his performance over that case. He is not a leader and while he is in charge I would be amazed if Labour win the...

Bosch Active Line Plus vs Bosch Performance Line CX

Dizer, I have a CX equipped mtb and an ALP equipped racing bike. For riding on flat routes I would choose the ALP. If you might sometimes ride up mountains then you will likely need the CX.

I quite like many of Labours policies I just don't like or trust JC. I do not trust him to take the right course of action if we were facing some kind of emergency that required military intervention.

Nice one I bet you can't wait for it to arrive now. I've done just over 200 miles now, everything working fine, not had anyone overtake me yet.

I'm in the same position as you, I usually vote labour but don't like the way they have been taken over by the hard left. I would describe my politics as slightly left of centre but which party with a reasonable chance of winning should I vote for. If we take part in the EU elections then I...

    Orbea Gain e road bike

Nice report Roy and that's a good avg speed considering there was a fair bit of climbing involved. Seems a strange idea that if you want to drop down assistance levels from say high to medium you have to go cycle through off and low first. I can well see why that must be annoying, seems a...

I put the same type of pedals that I use on the mountain bike. They have the little sort of spikes on them that dig in slightly to your shoes that stop your feet sliding about on the pedals but you can easily get your feet off the pedals in an emergency. I was thinking of getting some clipless...

Can an Active Line Plus climb?

Not sure what Chris does but I never get out of the saddle to ride up hills when on my e-mtb, it doesn't seem to work very well. I do ride a bit that way on my e-racing bike, but most of the time I will remain seated on it while hill climbing too.

Someone asked this question on the radio earlier this afternoon, unfortunately no one knew the answer.

Can an Active Line Plus climb?

63 Nm is nearly 25% more powerful than 50 Nm that's a big increase in power. Time trialists would sell their grand mothers for a 5% increase in power on a bike god knows what they would give for a 25% increase lol.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I was actually thinking of France, Macron gave an interview to I think it was Andrew Marr over here in the UK some time back. In it he said that if France had a referendum he would expect them to vote leave too. That suggested to me that he understands why a lot of people voted to leave here...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't think so, no one can really know what's going to happen but if (and I hope) we eventually stay in the EU then I think there would likely be reforms. We are not the only country in the EU that are uncomfortable with the ever closer union mantra. I think we could start to reform the EU...

Can an Active Line Plus climb?

I can understand that and I am sure riding style plays a big part in this. If your someone that wants to ride with the motor off most of the time and then just use it for the hills then the ALP will be the better option I am sure.

Can an Active Line Plus climb?

If you look at the torque ratings for the ALP and the CX, 50 Nm compared to 75 Nm. Then it does not seem to be much of a difference but in percentage terms that is a huge increase in available power. I would guess that the vast amount of people using pedelecs don't need that 75 Nm (unless they...

Can an Active Line Plus climb?

Difficult question to answer as its often hard to tell from pictures and videos too for that matter how steep something is. If your thinking of buying a bike with say an Active Line Plus motor or a CX motor then see if you LBS will let you try out both on some decent hills. Lots of bike shops...

Andrew Neil made a good point last night on the late night politics show. I was fairly surprised when he said it as I always assumed he was fairly right wing. I cant remember his exact quote but it was his reason for the rise of Populism in Europe and far right parties over there and Brexit...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Watching his performance most weeks for the last couple of years at PMQs I do't get that impression at all. He does not seem to be able to think on his feet when it really matters. If he asks a question and May gives an honest answer to the question that he was not expecting, which basically...
