    Does size really matter?

i really tend to agree, aisde from generating more heat than light (sorry bad pun), it really turns me off ever becoming any of your customers..

    Does size really matter?

very true - for reference it's a90kg bloke and about 10 to 15 kg pannier (so pretty hefty) - i found the comparison of gear ratios very helpful for comparing teh TCM and impulse 2 (it makes teh 70nm torque versus 60 for teh TCM sound more or less spot on - but that only means somewhat slower...

    Does size really matter?

thanks for that, it clears up an experiecne i had (as you racinig up a hill in third with a kalkhoff teh santana can only just do in first). BUT, i guess that means teh woosh is not so much more weaker as i thought?

    sorry "negligible friction" that is

    Woosh Santana CDL

and having a chat with Andy from Woosh as to whether fiddling with their electrics is kosher, which makes it four things needed...just teasing. In the real world (dark, relentless, wet british winters that is) its good to have lights that will always be there for one (even when all the batteries...

    Woosh Santana CDL

many thanks for the advice Rob, i was hoping there'd be an alternative to always deploying full panniers, but at leats it i sa fix. I find the "fit it and forget it" part of a dynohub just takes so much hassle out of cycling.

    Woosh Santana CDL

apologies all if this (reporting back on experience using bike) gets a bit obsessive - its the end of a week of 70 miles commuting on it (and a quick dash to cafe a moment ago) and i guess in part because it is really growing on me. what i like most is the top speed (if you do a kind of low...

    Woosh - more dreadful service

i agree, i too have had a very good experience with Woosh so far (in dealing with delivery a nd ttransit damage to bike) - which i cant say for many other companies ive had to deal with. before becoiming so very very upset and superior i think its usually a good idea to reflect on how well one...

    Woosh Santana CDL

good question - it cuts out momentarilly and feels very hot (the motor), slowing down stops all of this from happening. perhaps its something other than overheating? the impulse 2 is mighty impressive - so much so that one can feel "dissapointed" for not speeding up very steep hills - i think it...

    Woosh Santana CDL

perhaps i still have to get the hang of the throttle? ive used it - and it - very gently - gets me up to speed (feels a bit like a milk float), however, i think it just makes for a different riding style than on a torque sensor bike (a bit more gentle)

    Woosh Santana CDL

strictly for what its worth, here's my brief experience - i bought a santana cdl by mail order and received it yesterday - have done two very hilly 12 mile journeys. compared to my girlfriend's kalkhof tasman with impulse 2 its weaker (as one would expect) - just about gets my 90kg up a very...
