    How I Decluttered My Handlebars

We've got a Raleigh deep toned ring-ring bell on the front of the tandem and a Halfords ding-dong bell at the back. Lots of nice comments. Mostly used on the local shared cycle-pedestrian route, especially approaching where the path twists under a no visibility bridge...

    MXUS xf07 270rmp general discussion & info

We got an XF07 from Woosh around 4 years ago and it has been very good. Not particularly powerful though, especially for our tandem; very helpful on the hills, but still needs quite a bit of work from us! We were warned at the time, but there was very little legal choice from any supplier in...

    Cheap e-bike? £600?

The B TWIN ad says 'Now bike rides but cuts off '. That's different from an intermittent fault. One possible reason for that is a nearly dead battery. If it isn't looked after that can come with even a fairly new battery, eg if left for a time fully discharged. That would charge normally, but...

Help! Selling Scott aspect 960 2021 frame with fork and wheels

You can edit your posts, at least for some time. So you can edit it, and replace the text with 'deleted'. You might even bet by with a blank or '.' You will see an 'edit' button at the bottom of the post. Just tested and blank won't do but . will (see post above). But as Nealh has pointed out...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Yes, but that's not cold. Cold is when the frost is still there in the evening.

    Yose kit

Yes, but I can see it won't be for many. (Of course, that's 250w nominal continuous rating; most 250w motors can give 500 to 750w peak)

    Help! Yose power 250w

You cannot have assistance above 15.5 mph and legally ride your ebike as a pedelec under regular bike laws. It becomes an s-pedelec under moped laws; you need registration, number plate, insurance, motor bike helmet etc, and you can't ride it offroad in public places. However, as you will see in...

    Bike frame size

I'm not sure frame size is too important (as long as it isn't too big, especially with crossbar). I've always preferred a smaller frame than recommended; different people have different shapes (as well as different sizes) and different ideas. However, it doesn't look as if there is much room...

    Replacement E-Bike

If you don't want to put in any effort the heavier bike with the more powerful motor will win. If you want lots of your effort with some help from the motor it's a bit more of a toss up.

    Fine Steed

What makes you think it's a self build; I think it's from one of those 'style over substance' boutique manufacturers.

Should we bail on the new Swytch conversion kit

Swytch have lots of technical expertise. It's just that it's in marketing and public awareness, not in ebike hardware. e.g they knew how to engineer this article ... https://www.theguardian.com/environment/bike-blog/2021/jun/11/want-to-turn-your-bicycle-into-an-e-bike-heres-just-the-gizmo

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Many years ago our LibDem candidate got in in a general election with a majority of two. That was after a comment during the campaign by the wife of one of our most active campaigners: All this fuss, and it'll never make more than a couple of votes difference.

Giving up tracking that thread saved me from nearly as much wasted time nearly as much as giving up Facebook had a few years before.

Rokbikes by UrbanElectro - Any reviews on them?

Amazingly little detail in the description. I suggest you contact them and ask for the real specs; you'll be able to judge a lot based on how they respond to that.

Drunk e-scooter rider on Cheltenham hen do banned from driving after weaving in and out of traffic

I am a strong supporter of 20mph limits, but I must admit that (on the rare occasions I take a car into our town centre) I often find I have inadvertently let speed creep up well over them; often to nearly 30mph.

    20 inch 48v 250w front wheel/ kit- seeking recommendations

Warning: cable leaving the hub upwards can encourage water getting into the hub. It's less neat, but better to have it leave downwards then loop up.
