    e-bikes Direct Buying Experience

Got my Eagle from them. Seemed a nice bunch, I went to the Bodium place and had some test rides. No pressure, all very pleasant. My bike has'nt gone wrong yet so cant attest to their after sales from experience, but I'm sure they will look after you if you had a problem, they do sell quite a...

    question on Freego battery

Hi gray198, All perfectly normal. Whilst riding on pedelec mode, the lights are just a measure of the voltage available at the terminals, as current is drawn the voltage drops. When you stop riding the lights quickly recover to all 4 lights on. The best check of remaining range is after the...

    hello from east sussex

Hi ajb9 At last, another pedelec member in East Sussex. 706 Alpino eh! Very nice. I live near Battle. I've run out of friends who will tolerate my Ebike obsession, (I'm not obsessed, just a little enthusiastic), so if you fancy meeting for a beer and a chat about ebikes I'd be glad to...

    Any ideas how come?

Indeed, all of the above, plus: Most people just don't know or understand what an Ebike is. Weeks back, 6 people had a quick whizz round the pub car park on mine. None of them had any idea what an EBike was beforehand. They all loved it. One bought a used Wisper the next day for £800. Another...

    New Bikes

Gulp!! I feel all responsible now, but hopefully you should be fine. Mine will be approaching 1000 miles soon. At least if you have a problem Freego will fix it, although, fortunately, I've not had to test the back up myself to date. It has proved very versatile, and makes an excellent...

    A Miss is a s good as 1.6 Kilometres

Indeed, however I think Metrication will be the least of our worries!! Its a worry, but thats why I have to go out for a ride on my EBike, because then I don't care anymore.

    New Bikes

Great choice. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun in it. Money in the bank is handy, but the real wealth is the fun you've had! I think I would use the correct charger for each battery. It may be that it's charging cut off level is suited to a particular battery management system and as such...

    Freego frame size

Hello. My Eagle is the mountain bike crossbar version, and I'm a bit of a shortie at 5'9". I have the saddle almost at maximum height, so it would easily accomodate a much lower level if required. Best to have a sit on one just to be sure. My inside leg measurement for trouser fitment is 31"...

    Bike fell down..

Hi Gaynor, I am no electrician, but I have built 4 full size aeroplanes and am quite practical. I live in Battle, so only a few miles from you. Can I offer assistance, if only to identify the likely cause such that the experts on here can recommend a likely fix. If you think it might help...

    First E Bike advice ...

Freego Eagle with 17amp battery. At the weekend I did 53 miles on low and medium assist and still had 2 lights showing. Even if I use max power all the time with lots of hills, 35 miles is easy. I've had it 7 months now, done about 800 miles and so far nothing has fallen off. I think the...

    More EBikes on TV

Hmm, not bad. It was a 3 or 4 minute bit about EBike hire in the South Downs area on BBC south. Very positive. Lots of pics of folk having fun. There was also a hefty plug for Cyclecharge venues. The only bike I could identify was a Giant. All looked like fun anyways.

Erratic Electric problem with my Bearprint.

Yes, I'd like to have a go on a Tonaro, I would conjecture its a half way house between hub drives and crank drives, and it has a throttle. Could be ideal.

    Please ask D8veh Back

Seems to me D8Veh is a top chap. As others have said, this forum is only as good as the folk who post here. D8Veh's knowledge and commitment to the sport/industry is beyond question, this forum would be much the poorer for his absence. Please come back D8veh.

Erratic Electric problem with my Bearprint.

I couldn't say what power rating they had. They were both fitted to brand new bikes, and I had a whole weekend on each. Their ability at climbing steep hills is excellent due to the gearing advantage, but they are so heavily restricted. The Panasonic one I rode even on the highest power setting...

    alcohol and electric bikes

I like a half a Shandy sometimes. The nice thing is one has the choice. In fact I have noticed that after a couple of Shandy's, I'm a very good rider!!!!Hic. Cough!! Its nice to socialise at the local over a few, and even better when I show my prowess at wheelies in the car park, doughnuts in...
