Fitting a tyre the easy way?

It's because there's no well to give the tyre the clearance you need. A few other guys on the forum had said how difficult it was, but I thought I knew better. Like you, I never have to use tyre levers to get a tyre on, and I can often get them off too with just my hands, but I couldn't get the...

    Yose miles

How far you go depends on how hard you pedal. I can get anywhere between 15 miles and 129 miles on the same journey with a 700wh battery. If you got 38.4 miles and your battery's resting voltage was 38.4v, and you carry on riding on the same ride and pedalling equally as hard, you'll get about...

Fitting a tyre the easy way?

That's mainly correct, but doesn't apply if you have a Brompton with Sun CR18 rim and want to fit Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres. For that, you need a 3ft tyre lever.

Don't get no respect. Wife doesn't like new conversion.

I thought you said it had a KT controller. If she wants a fast start, a throttle with P4=1 and C4=3 fixes that. It'll scoot away before she starts pedalling, and it's legal. No need to wait for 1/4 turn of the pedals, and you must have another wrong setting if it takes half a turn of your pedals...

    Removing speed limiter

I've never found an ebike yet that couldn't have the speed limit released. Different bikes have different methods.

    Are E-bikes overpriced?

Where did you hear that? It sounds like something you hear on the internet that nobody can ever provide evidence of. I've seen more evidence of expensive bikes cracking their frames than cheap ones.

Don't get no respect. Wife doesn't like new conversion.

I have a 48v TSDZ2 that I'm riding most of the time, and I have the same bike with a Q128C and 22A KT controller at 48v. The Q128 absolutely blitzes the TSDZ2 for ease of pedalling if I set both to max power. Also, the Q128 is faster in all circumstances. It's also more pleasant to ride. What...

You can only buy motor cables with the Julet 9-pin connector. It's up to you what you do with it, but one thing you can't do is plug it into what you already have, so something has to change.

    Modifying to Torque Sensing

There are two types of hall sensors: Bi-polar ones (SS41)are on/off 5v and switch when a magnet passes. They're typically used as positional or rotation sensors. Linear hall sensors (SS49) give a 1.2v to 3.8v variable output depending on the strength and orientation of the magnetic field...

    Help! My next project

The controller and motor can't change anything from the wheel size setting. That setting only effects the speed display. Set the wheel size to whatever you have. You set the cut-off speed to 25km/hr, and if the motor doesn't cut at that speed, change the P1 setting proportionally.

    Pedal assist not working

You can use any of the KT LCDs except LCD1, which is, I guess ,the one you have. The 12 magnet pedal sensors are often handed, so you can't change sides unless you want to pedal backwards. If I were you. I'd get an 8-magnet pedal sensor, as they give the least problems and they're cheaper, and I...

Carrera Vulcan E Bike E42 Fault

A cable repair on that motor is not too bad. It's much more tricky on the others, where the cable comes through the axle, but still doable. You can buy motor cable from many sellers on Ebay. You'll have to cut your old connector off the controller side and solder on a standard 9-pin one.
