    Problems Indexing on a 1x9

Shame about that! I would tend to go for a long reach derailleur so not to use extension, but only if the alignment tool does not work, and possibly a new inner wire.

    Hi from Scotland

Hi fit like, I found that the conversion kits were very straightforward to fit, I am a mechanically minded person but on a front hub kit, all the skill that is needed is changing the wheel so it is true. only problem is that I am not sure that you can get the E-bike interest free loan from...

    Hi from Scotland

Hi fit like, I am in a similar age group and location and agree the local bike shops choice is pretty limited and in my opinion over priced! I just went with the kit option on my own bike after going thru the same dilemma as yourself. How did you get on with the sub 20kg Volt Pulse on you're...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Hi PC2017, No need to worry about BMS it is 30a max! with 30a fuse BMS continuous discharge current is 22A, 10 min Discharge current at 25A and 5 seconds discharge current 30A. How ever I would change you're c5 parameter settings on you're lcd3, to below max to allow for the draw from you're...

    New ebiker need an advice

Thanks Neath, I was just using a theoretical 3330mah so I could make 10ah not the real 3500 or 3450mah as an optimum power to weight densities possible 224-250 Wh/kg .

    New ebiker need an advice

Hi Mr Mark, Neath got it spot on having a drop off point or two!, if not you would have to carry all the weight around all day, turning a 10.2 kg bike in to a heavy beast. if I am correct 36v 10ah = 360wh and giving 10s 3p 3330mha cells at 48g per cell = 1.44kg . I would opt for a mid drive...

    Problems Indexing on a 1x9

Hi Blunderbuss, Just a note that a chain wants to run straight, so without causing excessive wear on running gear. The 40t would line up with the 22t and the 11t to the removed 42t and are used to minimize wear on the system. Looks to me that your running your bike on 9 gears forcing chain past...

Alternative Batteries for ebike self build projects

Hi Cop Doc, I've got the same view as Wheeliepete, a 4ah battery is not a lot in the terms of assisted range. As you would need multiple packs for any ride over a given range. I now use a 7.8ah pack with lg cells that only gets me 6-10mls or less which are mainly as fast as possible, on a...

    First ebike conversion & Newbie

Hi John, the profile/spacing is the same but the width of chain and sprocket spacing are different, also a 7-8 speed chain might not go through a 9spd derailleur without catching. soz Gaz

    First ebike conversion & Newbie

Hi John, I think you have 9spd+ running gear on your bike. As such you would need to change over to the correct speed ie:7-8 spd sorry but that's a minimum new chain but probably mech's and chain rings as well. The only good news is that they are much cheaper than 9spd+ components.

How to reduce topspeed of fast ebike?

Hi Marc, you could change the wheel size to a larger size on you're display giving the impression of going 45km/h while really going less. I have similar problem but in reverse I'm limited to 40km/h and want 45km/h+. page 29: on your manual gives flyer display details.

    Panda kits. Users opinions.

Hi all, My display was set to 48v, I now get full battery displayed from the 7.8ah battery, but can still drain it within 6-7milles of 50:50 open road and city cycling. I constantly increase or reduce power so there is only a drain of around 200 - 300 watts added to my leg power.
