I did. All I got was DPD will notify me when they have a delivery slot. In other words when they have found it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Once I know where it is, I'll do that...the problem is trying to actually locate it....had the same problem with them with a mobile phone that vanished....it never arrived at all....i guess the sender wont send out a replacement until a few days after to confirm its either lost or not....

Doomed! The delivery appears to have vanished in DPD's system half way up the country. Another day wasted sat at home....

Thanks David. To be honest i ordered the bike through ebike factory who are based in stoke i believe...so my thinking was if anything major did go wrong at least it's only about an hour away from me. What i wasn't expecting was them to take a complete back step...so now all dealings are from...

The latest development is a new LCD and the cable between the lcd and controller are being sent out as they think one or the other is at fault...... Sounds logical about the matching, but I hope you are wrong as what they are doing now wont fix the problem?.....

Cyclotricity claim their bikes are british made....I imaging you mean some of the parts attached to the bike are chinese? In anycase, arent controllers, lcd's and all the electrical gubbins pretty much the same across the board?

Update this morning. New controller arrived at 9am. I have swapped them over, and went out for a short test ride. Power is back to the bike, but the LCD display is showing speed as 0 mph no matter the speed you go, and the milometer is also not increasing. The power assist is working, but...

    Today I found a downside to EMTB's

Have to plead ignorance here....I don't know the difference between spd and mtb....I just want to get to work with dry feet after ploughing through big trail puddles... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Today I found a downside to EMTB's

I have the same problem....I've gone through 2 pairs of overshoes in 3 months. I would happily pay the extra for some decent waterproof boots but have yet to find any that appear to justify the price. If you get those please report back.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Right, ok, mine hasnt got a speed sensor then. I'll get some tape, sounds easier to put on than heat shrink

Hoping that I will be back on the road on Thursday then assuming the new controller arrives tomorrow. Do you mean the sensor on the bottom of the crank? If so, Im not sure how I could stop that getting soaked. I will start covering the LCD with something. Was also thinking of getting some heat...

Yes, the bike is stored in a dry shed at home, and a dry store at work. One part of the route does tend to be very muddy and wet at the moment, so I guess it does take a bit of punishment. I always do a minimum of a good hose down when I get home to clean the mud off, and give it a wipe down...

    Another broken ebike

Hi David Long story, it goes back to may this year. Initially, maybe I should take part of the blame for the first one, as I hadn't done enough of my own research before jumping in. I opted to take the cycle to work scheme which gave me up to £1000 to spend on a bike, so I went to Halfords as...

    Another broken ebike

Well, I think its time I gave up on the e-bike idea. This is the 3rd ebike I have had in th space of 4 months, and it has died. The latest one, Cyclotricity stealth, done around 300 miles, and all loss of power. Checked the usual pedal sensor, sensor ring, wiring, battery voltage. The LCD...
