Heh, is that a rhetorical question? :p
Thanks for the links, I will take a look - they seem like they'd fit the width. I will check with them to see if the Presta is removable.
I agree, and in fact that's what I have done so far. However, my current DIY attempts have been a comedy of errors...
Ah, nice one - will do. I will try calling up Evans to see if they can order something to my local store, but if that fails, I will try your suggestion.
Searching for this has been a slog, and sadly some bike e-commerce sites do not have particularly good search systems. Accordingly, I will make a list here of possible matches, for other 27.5+/2.8" tyre users.
Chain Reaction has a Hutchinson 27.5/2.3-2.85 tube, with Presta, but the Q&A...
Thanks Pete.
I'll have a look to see if tubes of this size are more readily available with a Schrader valve (since there would be no value in drilling if I cannot find similar tubes with the different valve). I seem to recall that Schrader values always have a removable core.
You're right, my...
I am currently struggling to find the inner tubes I want online. They're for my Scott E-Genius 730 MTB bike.
The spec is:
27.5"+ wheels
2.8" semi-fat width
Presta valve only (Schrader won't fit the wheels)
Pre-slimed or with removable valve cores
In the past I have picked up Kenda tubes, but...
Looks like that's a no, unfortunately:

It does look interesting - not sure it is very practical for road usage, but would be lots of fun to try!
Marvellous, thanks @d8veh. That's the sort of thing. I don't think I've ever seen them on sale, but then I guess I'm not the target market!
Thanks Bob and Benjahmin for the links, I'll take a look.
Edit: this from T&B looks similar to the picture above.
I was unlocking my KTM e-bike the other day, and an older gentleman stopped to admire it. We had a nice chat, and he said that he had difficulty getting about, and would be interested in whether motorised transport might be able to help him too. He walks with a stick, quite slowly.
He said he...
Hi all
I have a well-used Ave XH3 that has rather seen better days. It's five years old, and still works! However, it also has:
some scratching on the bodywork as a result of road accident
a lot of battery sag in the original battery
a liquid crystal leak in the display
a need for some...
I haven't tried them, no - thanks for the tip, David :)
Ooh, thanks. If the Magura route does not work out, I will see if I feel confident fishing the old bearing out, and if so, I will get one of those and try!
I've just gone past 7,500 miles on my KTM Macina Action (Bosch Activeline) and have been told by a bike shop that the bearings are not in a good condition. They seem OK to me - there is a bit of rattle, but nothing terribly untoward.
Nevertheless, I am interested to know how you sourced and...
Agreed, though I have the "Lidl version" of the same - it is excellent, but another one would take up too much room. I am space challenged  , so this comes out just for maintenance.
Thanks for the warning. I have an Evans Cycles near me, maybe they will have a small one I can try.
I've bought a new full-sus eMTB (more about that in another post) and it has "semi-fat" tyres of a 2.8" width, standard 27.5" diameter. The bike will be around 21kg.
I am considering getting a small floor-standing bike stand, like this one. Has anyone any experience of using this sort of stand...
Thanks @d8veh, I did not know that. To be fair, my tightening the headset bolt probably did not get it to budge much, so I probably haven't changed anything in practice.
I haven't touched the stem clamp. Is it worth undoing the four bolts around that, giving the handlebars a clean underneath...
I am still running my KTM Action Macina 29 hardtail MTB, having now completed around 6.7K miles, and broadly it is still a great ride. However for the last 6 months or so I have been experiencing a loud clicking noise coming from the front of the bike, and I am scratching my head as to what it...
Well well well, as we should have expected, it isn't as easy as the website advises. There are two options:
Make bookings on the East Coast website for outward journeys at specific times, and a cycling option becomes available for outward journeys only
Make bookings on the East Coast website...
Nice video Leigh, completely encapsulates why I reckon more off-roading will be fun (though I doubt I'll be going at such ludicrous speeds).
The Samedi I tried was from this year but it does look quite similar. It is a great bike with high-quality equipment. My only niggles were a lack of...
