    TSD-Z2 optioning question

PSWpower lists TS-QD197 and TS-WD215 as options under the "Right" category. What are they, please? Am again considering the 36V 350W kit for a light weight bike. I would get a throttle because I am used to having them, although my riding style is pedal assist.

Considering converting my wife's folding bike

If you bought the Q128H from BMSbattery and also their controller that has the round motor cable that matches the motor cable, that should be wired already for a speed sensor inside the motor. I believe you need the P1 parameter to be 1 to have it work right. I have a Q128H sitting here, and it...

Considering converting my wife's folding bike

D8veh, I have found that racks for 26" bikes are too tall for a folder. I installed two racks (these had no battery trays) last year, and had to cut the struts shorter. My dilemma with these little bikes was finding a battery that didn't ruin the looks of the bikes. I'm using 260 rpm Q100H...

    Xiongda YTW-06 has arrived

Good looking conversion, Jonah. I assume there is a battery in the bag under the controller, and wondered what it looks like.

    Advice for a first build

Ive ridden torque sensors on production ebikes. Very nice, but for me, the torque simulation mode with 5 level PAS on a KT-controller is fine. In addition, I have my reservations about a kit implementation for a torque sensor being any good for rideability and durability.

    Advice for a first build

I like that ebay kit. I believe he's the only guy in the US with a low cost geared motor. I bought one from him three years ago and have 1300 miles on it. No troubles with the motor. I had the LED version with 3 level PAS, which is a bit crude but level 1 is perfect for me as it runs up to about...

    The perfect kit

I would convert the mountain bike, because I believe you never want to ruin a good riding fast bike with 12 pounds or more of motor and battery. Some motors here in the power hungry USA weigh more than 12 pounds alone

    PAS Sensor

I've got two or three of these VT12-L's laying around, but haven't used them. I've been using the 8 magnet V-7 sensor in the red package. The disk is 4 mm wide, which is 6 mm less than the VT12. The tradeoff is that the V-7 can be mounted in 4 different positions, and only one works right. You...

    Sidestand stress on frame?

FYI. I had one like that with no brace on my fatbike, and it would turn on the chain stay arm. I started to tighten it and arrgh I felt the fastener go loose and I realized the metal tube (steel) was being crushed. I stopped, but could see that the round tube was slightly flattened. It had two...

is this any good as a back up battery 36v 250? 6ah any import duty

A 10S-3P is 30 cells. You're buying $2 cells. I expect the cells will have too much voltage sag. Rated at 6AH, but after 3AH is used up, they will be around 36V and, any demand for high current will shut off your ebike. I would look for something with better rated GA cells.

cannot seem to find a 36v 250 watt controller over 15amps

This is for a Kudos Vita bike? I have never seen one, but it's better to identify what you are working on, And you said the motor is 3 pin. Did you mean it only has three big wires going to it, not three big wires and 5 small ones? Only three wires would indicate you need a sensorless controller.

    Upgrade my controller?

And full charge is 42 volts. If he really got 36V with a meter, it's around 40% charged.

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

Thanks for the report, WT. After looking at the last four pages of that endless sphere thread (I had read the beginning some time ago), I said, "Good grief. It's still all about stuff breaking!" The throttle/48V/500W had tempted me, but reliabilty issues sure killed my interest in another mid...

High time ebike battery sellers were honest about battery AH capacity

In addition to the .2C rate used for capacity of a cell, they also run them down to 2,5 volts for specifications, Most battery BMS circuits will shut down before 2.8 volts to allow for some imbalance. Your motor controller is usually more conservative and shuts down around 3 volts per cell. I...

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

I'm interested in a TSDZ2 from PSWpower. Considering the 500W 48V kit with display and throttle. Can the kit switch between 36V and 48V easily or is there a low voltage cutoff set with 48V? Will it run on 52V ? I have all three batteries and I like it when I can use whatever happens to be...

    Nearly there now.

If you would like throttle enabled with PAS set at 0, I believe C4=3 will allow that. One risk with that is the bike will take off on you if you move the throttle while walking it around after power up.

How often does the bbso1 need to be in the correct gear?

If you're were beating yourself up pedaling up that hill in a given gear without a motor, it's just as bad for the BBS01, Shift to a gear that lets you pedal faster and lets the motor spin better.

Throttles why do they go bad so easily?

Nothing inside my thumb throttle except for a 3 terminal Hall sensor soldered to a three wire cable. These sensors are not hermetic, and were not intended to resist water. Popping them open and adding a dollop of silicon seal around the leads would help. I believe you can just take out...

All in one wheel from BMSbattery

For me, in the USA, shipping is $100-115 USD, depending on battery. The kit with 8.7AH battery is $347. So $450 USD. 250W, 36V. I figure 18 mph top. Maybe 25 miles, 20 for sure at 14 mph. Wonder how they do PAS and even speed unless there's an extra sensor. How do they kill the motor if you...
