Not sure if this is in the right section

No feedback on doing the learning connection for the controller?

Not sure if this is in the right section

An S866 display usually means it is a brainpower controller with self learning. I could not find an akozon listing on amazon.uk, but found plenty of S866 controllers with the same picture for about half your price. Brainpower controllers have two green wires for "intelligent identification"...

TSZD2B clutch failure. Any tips on replacement?

Update: TSDZ2B outer clutch started slipping at 1550 miles. Cleaned with brake fluid and re-oiled. Has been working fine for 846 miles,

Any ideas for best conversion kit

Nice bike. I've built three hub motor bikes for my wife, and she's ridden over 11000 miles on then, but her favored bike for the past 2500 miles is a 26" bike with a TSDZ2B mid drive. For me, the mid drive kit is less money than spoking a q128H (AKM128) motor into a custom rim. I still have to...

    Alternative to Lekkie rings

That's a pretty chain ring from China. My BBS02B bike could use a blue one. Tempted,

New old boy with a question regarding Quick Release wheel

Like many others here, I've converted many bikes to electric. Tried various kinds of motor systems too. My wife and I have ridden about 12000 miles together over the past 10 years too. We average 12 mph, although I ride faster on solo rides. I find rim brakes fine, although I do own bikes with...

48 volt battery or 36 volt battery

I started ebiking on both 36V and 48V batteries. While there is more power on 48V, I'm happy with performance of my hubmotors with dual voltage KT 20A controllers at 36V since our average speed is under 13 mph, 20 km/hour. However, I thought our 48V midmotors TSDZ2 and BBS02B were too weak on...

Rider less cycle conversion kit required.

I'd go with RC control. A long wired throttle cable is going to get fouled up.

    Views on 2 brompton choices

I've built two 13S-1P with P45B's, 4.5AH cells. Both tested out at 150WH with a 3A load. Range on my 20" folder with an AKM100 hub was about 18 miles. Even with 5AH cells, I think a 16 mile round trip with a 10S will be optimistic.

    Samebike

IF you want smooth pedal assist, the S866 and the Brainpower controllers, in my opinion, are the wrong approach. I had a small 15A model, and didn't like it. Replaced with a KT controller and display.

New build, wheel loses drive and screeches

Did you really put in a new Q128 motor? That would seem to cost more than £30. If you only changed controllers, it's probably the gears in the motor. They have a one way clutch that probably failed,

Setting a speed limit on bafang mid drive

I have the really old monochrome Bafang C951 display on my BBS02B. I thought that the speed limit set in the display did work. Set it down to 16 mph once, when I was riding in an area where (a) eikes were rare and (b) they had a posted limit, With the programming cable, you can opt to let the...

60 or 80Nm front hub motor

I have the Bafang SWX02 also known as FM G020.250/350 front motor in a front steel fork with a KT20A controller on 48V. Plenty of power for my needs. Probably on a par with the AKM128. Probably expensive though, I got mine used,

Sympathetic conversion ideas for Raleigh Clubman from the 80's

A Q100H is a very good choice, but the controller needs to go inside a box and it does add a little clutter. It would have to be front wheel, because the rear dropouts are smaller? For this Raleigh Mixte, I used a low cost TSDZ2 mid drive. For me, this is less expensive than buying a...

    Brainpower gets incorrect speedsignal

I beiieve your P07 is off. This is the number of magnets in the motor x gearing. It's a common setting in many LCD's. Most motors are between 80-100 for this value. Try 90 and if you see a reasonable speed, adjust P07 til the displayed speed matches actual. Most magbet couns are 16-20 and...

    Q128 alternatives?

I just spoked up an AKM128H into a 26" wheel, These motors have gotten more expensive since I bought my first one in 2019. I paid something like $130 USD shipped then. This most recent one cost me $175 USD shipped. Just a bare motor, Sapim spokes and a rim were almost $100. The nice thing is...

Help! I bought a decathlon btwin ebike with no battery and learnt quickly that there is no battery in stock for about 1 year plus already

SO if you look inside the battery compartment, that funky connector is suppossed to slide right into any battery that goes in there? There's no other circuitry inside the cradle? Stupid design. Increases costs. BTWIN should have just bought a $10 controller and put it i the cradle..

Help! I bought a decathlon btwin ebike with no battery and learnt quickly that there is no battery in stock for about 1 year plus already

Is this the bike. STandard rack battery? Nice looking bike. Why can't you buy a generic rack battery, Or buy a rack with the battery? They're not very expensive, with all kinds on ebay, Then the two power wires from existing rack if you must, and splice. Re-insert the new battery,

    Battery Fires

Yes. A decent one will cut off charging when cells are at designed max, DIY battery builders know how that works, or they should. Even so, quality bare cells can take overvoltage. From the Lishen 21700 cell data sheet. You can short circuit them or overcharge to 6.3V. 9.1. External...

Help! Fitting TSDZ2 on a bike with internal cables and hoses

I would hate to dremel a nice bike even though it's cosmetic. I've rerouted mechanical lines, bled hydraulic lines, but have yet to break and re-install a line, I would do that first. Does the ToSeven DM02 have more clearance to the downtube?
