Punctures happen, fact. Less so on a moped. Perhaps an ebike with a throttle would be more suitable for you, easy puncture fix by the roadside, and easier to carry up stairs. Is there not a local moped/motorcycle dealer who can replace or patch the tube for you ? I doubt they'd charge much and...

Sounds like a slog, and hope for your sake it's the valve core. If it turns out to be a puncture, can't you just lift the moped onto a crate or something so that the rear wheel is off the ground outside your block of flats, release all air from the tyre, and the lever off part of the tyre on one...

Isn't it worth the 1 hour or so to remove the wheel and replace the tube with a brand new one (check inside of tyre for sharp thorns, glass, flint etc) and refit for peace of mind ? That would do my head in having to pump it up every day before I wanted to go out on the bike

If it's not the valve core, check the tyre to see if you can find the hole (soapy water is good), as you may be able to tyre lever off part of the tyre on one side and pull the tube out a bit to patch the tube, will save having to remove the wheel

surely the pedals are there to purely make it legal (pedal assist), no-one is expected to use them to pedal the moped as that would be awkward with that very low seat height and it looks heavy ?? Don't you feet rest inboard on the foot platform when riding like a petrol moped scooter ?

Dude, do not hesitate to dispose of that battery, get it outside and then taken to tip to be recycled etc. Risk to life and property is not worth the cost of a new battery (£160)...

weird spoke lacing, all of the spokes are threaded the same way from the hub, don't they normally alternate in the opposite side ? not seen that before, not sure if that will affect the strength or the dishing of the wheel..
