    Display

This one ? https://viviebikes.com/products/vivi-c26-step-through-commuter-electric-cruiser-bike What is wrong with the display ? What are you trying to achieve ? Usually the display is paired to the controller, so you either have to replace the display and controller together or find a...

What do you think of my new bike?

I think it does have some sort of torque multiplication algorithm, but one of the parameters on the LCD (that I haven't altered !) is pedal sensitivity - don't know what effect this has. In practice I don't really notice the assist level changing - but I suspect my version of "gentle"...

What do you think of my new bike?

Yes - exactly - that is when I use the brake sensor with my bike that has a cadence sensor. With the BBTS kit I can ghost pedal (to change down the gears) without the motor kicking in as I am not applying pedalling force

I for one would be very interested in @saneagle 's impression of the bbts kit

    Checking Multimeter Calibration at Home

Statins are saving lives . (Tens of thousands) I disagree about incentives - there's plenty of people don't want the NHS to prescribe cheap, effective, out of patent medicines when they have some much more expensive alternatives. - that's why we have NICE I have yearly "mot" at my drs...

What do you think of my new bike?

Fair point - I was a bit absolute - I had a cadence sensor bike with a throttle and I used the throttle often at junctions to set off and found it really useful. Now I changed the bike to use a torque sensor and at junctions I have one foot on the ground, push the pedal on the other side and...

What do you think of my new bike?

Yes - I was thinking 48V SWX02 rather than Ananda motor eta Ah - that would do it - lack of throttle might put off some people but you don't need a throttle with that TS kit - just push the pedal and the motor kicks in

What do you think of my new bike?

Any plans to do a 48v version - the Santana 4 !? - not sure how much extra cost that is for the motor + battery Super impressed with my 48V Bafang SWX02 / G020 on my old carrera (especially with the Woosh Torque Sensor kit). I (100kg+) even managed to get up a local hill that has a short...

Which indicates distance you can travel

So potentially that is another advantage of using a controller with power based assist levels rather than speed based assist levels ? They are more efficient, if you are adding quite a bit of pedalling effort ?
  16. P

Which indicates distance you can travel

Yes - so a 36V * 20Ah battery would store 720Wh of energy - the more Wh the further you can go (everything else being equal !)

    Derestricting a Bafang rear hub

If you have access to the wheel size menu in the display, if you set the wheel size in the settings to 18 inches for a 700C wheel, and then set the units to km rather than mph then when the speedo says 16km/h you would really be doing 16 mph. This would make your ebike illegal in the UK and...

    Bafang Mid-drive M510 - 250 watt making clicking / clunking noise after 1,300 miles

My experience of clunks and clicks are that it is rarely what you think it is - once it was the saddle and once it was the pedal attached to the crank
