More power for hills on Samebike LO26

P14 in the display sets the current to anything up to 20A. I would try 15A first, then go up to maybe 17A if it's still not enough. Your motor can probably handle 25A easily. It's counter-intuitive, but 12A might be worse for your motor than 15 amps. What kills motors and controllers is going...

Crank speed has no bearing on power when you have a cadence sensor system. With current control, you get 6 levels of help from zero to maximum. You pedal with whatever effort you want, which can be anything from air pedalling to maximum that you can do. You have the choice. Turning up the power...

Replacing/Adding a 36v Battery. (Lots of pictures for guidance)

£3 gets you a useable soldering iron on Ebay - a lot cheaper than a crimping tool. You want 60/40 tin/lead solder.

More power for hills on Samebike LO26

There's your problem: 12 amps. You can turn it up to 15 amps, which will give 25% more torque. There are two ways to do it depending on what LCD you have. Show us which one you have. If it's not adjustable via the LCD, you can solder the shunt, which just takes a couple of minutes. While you...

If you ask the dealer before you hand over the cash, they might set it to whatever you want, especially if you say it's only going to be used on your u8ncle's private estate and never on UK roads.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The recorded death rate has been flat since 21st October. That's if you use the basic actual deaths per day supposedly related to Covid-19 instead of the derived and adjusted ones. In other words, what little spike there was, was all over long before the lock-down.

Apparently, the Joint European Terrorist Association has announced that they'll attack every country on the night before lock-down, which has already happened in France and Austria, so we get it tomorrow.

I just looked at betting odds. they've closed the US election now but they're offering bets on the next UK Prime Minister. Kier Starmer is leading at 9/4 or you can get over 300/1 on Dianne Abbott.

I don't recommend crimping unless you have the proper tool for it. Don't try and do it with pliers or one of those joke crimping tools. I wouldn't normally scaremonger anybody, but there are real risks if you don't do it correctly.

Little Girl Saved from Terror by Cyclist

A cyclist was riding through the alleys when she came across an adult male with a little girl, which looked extremely suspicious. Luckily, she had the bravery and gumption to ask what the guy was up to, but he made some excuse and led the little girl away. The Woman/girl on the bike didn't give...

Trump gets zero votes in New Hampshire ballot. One of the first results is in. Biden got all of the votes and Trump got zero. Could this signal a Biden landslide? https://bongino.com/surprise-results-in-traditional-new-hampshire-midnight-vote/

    Ideas please.

With a cadence sensor and a current control system, you have the choice about how hard you pedal at any time. With a torque sensing system, you have less choice about how hard you pedal. You need to take a step back and think more logically about in what circumstances you need power and how...

Desirability of putting battery into sleep mode?

It's just a question of BMS design. Sophisticated ones use a microprocessor, which has to be powered to make decisions about whether it will allow charging or discharging. that power will discharge the battery in time so you don't want it active for weeks at a time. Sleep mode switches off power...

    Revos vs Woosh system

Lets talk about the Revos first. In the 10 years I've been on this forum we've never had anyone do a proper review of a friction drive system, though they've been around all that time. They're very good in some circumstances, like when you have a nice light bike that you're happy to ride around...
