    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think your calculations and price comparisons are skew. If you were to compare the price of a l 2500 sq ft house in Wexford ( where you have been) with anything in the greater London area, you will find no comparison.. I might suggest a ratio of 10:1 . If you buy prime steak in irish...

I will tell you how the prices compute. The retail distribution market has been dominated by British wholesalers... You will have seen their names in any of the shopping centres. They compute their prices in sterling and set up their prices at the exchange rate at a specific point in time...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Since I live 10 miles south of the border with NI, yes I do have a "dog in the fight " . And yes I am very apprehensive, ( it takes a lot to scare me at my age, ) with what will happen following the BREXIt. ... At the very least it will breath new life into the cross border smuggling, which had...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yes.. as some of us have been saying for months now. The best deal the UK has is the one it has now all others are worse, some far worse than others.

An extension to April is 2 days!.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The only way ireland NI and or RoI win is no brexit. The only way uk wins is no brexit. The only way the EU wins is no BREXIt. The rest is not going to happen, the EU are not going to change their Christmas plans, and there is no time afterwards. 3 months is the time taken to set up a pretty...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It is my belief, that in the event of the UK Governt sanctioning a referendum, in which Remain on current terms was an option, EU structures would be prepared to grant an extension for as long as it would take to count the votes. Note i say belief not certainty.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The agreed current terms are the ones in the 560 page document to be voted on in HoC on 11th Dec...2 weeks time. There are no other "current terms." It is fantasy to state otherwise.

Not everything is set in stone. But you can take it that the EU has finished with the withdrawal agreement. How the UK Parliament responds is up to the UK. There are 3 months between January and March..that is written in stone. Unless the UK seeks an extension,it cannot happen. Indeed it...

Well to be fair, there were mutterings of such for years,..and mutterings they would have remained, until a certain fair haired boyo who seems to think that costs and values are the same coin, started .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Woosh.. why are you also trying to rewrite history?. There will be no mini deal, no half money , no quick agreements. It's over. What now exists is a totally UK dilemma and is within the SOLE power of the UK Parliament. EU is no longer an actor. Accept a poor deal in the totality of...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Why are you using the present and future tenses for something which is now past tense?. The withdrawal agreement exists, it is now history. The only game left is whether the UK Parliament accepts or rejects it. A few days AFTER the referendum, the EU leadership, who were stunned by the decision...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A letter like that would restore ones faith in the sanity of British people. I did make in one of my infrequent comment about UK Politicans, that I cannot and could not understand why an opposition would not oppose.

Slight typo.. if he was in West Berlin, he needed to use the concession road of 100 km through East German territory,to reach the border with West Germany. .. I did this journey once. You were timed, and were not allowed to leave the autobahn.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

What two years are you referring to?. They are part of the DEAL as currently agreed by 28 heads of Government (yes. 28 is not a typo). If there is no deal, then there is no two years

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Ok .. the fuller text is consistent with my understanding. Again and again I have stated that it is not within the gift of the UK Parliament or Courts to revoke the A50 document. Whether the ECJ or probably more correct CJEU, agrees with my assessment is in the lap of the Gods, but will be...

I doubt that this has wings... . It is now in the lap of the ECJ, so publishing this at this time is simply mischief.

Perhaps a little more humanity and humility might be in order. The property reference is real ,has a value of 140k dollars, and is consistent with a dwelling for someone of advanced years. I don't know where the letter originated from, but it could very easily have been published in disgust by...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Many of the arguments you are presenting here have been well aired before. But for the sake of completeness let's review them. The UK is not a waste of space,it is a pleasant land, filled with ,perhaps overpopulated, with good decent people. Even a decent people can get illusions of grandeur...
