Looking for a reliable ebike to do the London knowledge on, please help!

... While it can take a battery. 4 to 6 hours to fully charge, it will charge about 40% in the first hour 80% in the second second hour and then diminishing returns. So a leisurely. Cup of coffee would pay dividends.

Looking for a reliable ebike to do the London knowledge on, please help!

I agree with Dave... Would it not be more helpful to the OP to stay on topic. An ebike capable of storage in an van and reliable enough for traveling an urban environment. Traffic in a city will not be traveling much in excess of 15 mph

Charging Ebike battery using an inverter from camper van battery

.... Well as a famous person once said, they would say that wouldn't they ,.. but seriously, i cannot see why a square wave would be in any way detremental to the Bosch charger. All of these switch mode devices comprise a diode bridge and a high voltage capacitor before the switch and...

Charging Ebike battery using an inverter from camper van battery

... I just answered this on another thread. The Bosch expects to see 220v and will draw a max of 1.5amp , it is expecting to see a sine wave, but I am speculating here and expect it does not matter whether it is driven by a square or sine wave . It will be going into a switch mode supply...

Looking for a reliable ebike to do the London knowledge on, please help!

.. my advice might be contrary to some you have already been given. The Motus is a lovely bike, i have one and am very pleased with it. It may not be optimal for your needs. I see it as better as a suburban or country road type bike, rather than for the city. A bike with smaller wheels is...

Looking for a reliable ebike to do the London knowledge on, please help!

... Not a good call. I am also suggesting that a 12v to 220v AC invertor /convertor , used in conjunction with your vendor supplied battery charger rather than a specialised 12v charger Is the way to go. The difference being that you require a 350w inverter not the powerful beast suggested...

    Whyte Clifton opinions please.

.... It's a personal choice, but at your age ( just 3 years in advance of mine) I would be recommending a step through frame. Safer to get on and off .

..... I got solid tubes for a Viscount touring bike some 30 + years ago , still on and still occasionally used , obviously no punctures , but the bike jars as there is less suspension.

    bike carriers

... In earlier times i carried 3 and 4 bikes on one of those high window carriers on a Renault scenic . Now they were a collection of men's, women and children bikes , non electric but cumulatively heavier than any single ebike. Only problem potential scratching of car paintwork. .. so weight...

    bike carriers

Remove the battery and carry it inside the car save 2 to 3 kg Use one of the rear window type carriers .. low cost Give yourself a hernia every time you put it on the carrier. Best solution is a ball joint mounted carrier anything else will put your back at risk and potentially damage paintwork

    Intuvia or Purion?

On the intuvia, the plus button brings you up power assist stages and the minus bringing you down if you double click then you go up or down two stages. But the plus button does not then circle round and give you no assist

Not a Gtech specific thread but lets talk about dealership attitude.

.. having read some of his previous literature, perhaps "away with the fairies" is not too far off the mark. He is strongly of the opinion that confining postings to matters technical is too prosaic.
