    Rear Panniers

They look good bags but size wise too wide and long for the 20” Tinker. Thanks for helping

    Rear Panniers

Hi Jim Ortlieb sell shorter front panniers. I’m waiting for the eMate to come in to the shop before buying but the Ortlieb sport packers and gravel packs look promising as does the larger Ortlieb trunk carrier. I’ll keep you posted

Thanks, I’ll take a look st these too. Are they TackTime comparable or made for Tern racks? I’ll check

    Rear Panniers

Definitely agree with you on visability. I guess the eMate will hold water where battery goes, sandwiched and good one side and cables and bike stuff on the other side, plus my lady likes the eMate look and colour....... blue!

    Rear Panniers

I think it’s between the sports packer plus, gravel pack or eMate. The gravel pack won’t carry a battery, the sport packer is only 9” wide as opposed 11” with the eMate with the latter able to carry day kit, locks and battery

    Rear Panniers

Thanks Ocsid. I’m buying from a great eBIKE shop in London, who recommend the rollerback classic or eMate, though looking at photos kindly sent to me, recognise the peddles are close but they do not have the eMate in stock for comparison.

    Rear Panniers

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Have looked at the front pannier sports you mention. Main issue for us is the pannier distance from ground and ankles when peddling. The general Roller Panniers are very close ground and the peddles. May be able to move them back from the peddles a tad but prefer not...

    Rear Panniers

I’m looking at buying the Ortlieb e-Mate pannier for a Reiss and Müller eBIKE Tinker. The eBIKE has 20” wheels and a RackTime carrier. The e-Mate is not as wide as the RackTime panniers but generally they are similar in size (15” height) but I’m concerned that the panniers will hang too low or...

    Riese and Müller - Tinker

Hi. We are taking possession of our Tinkers in a couple of weeks and looking to put rear panniers on the bikes. Wanting something sturdy, we are looking at the ORTLIEB E-Mate panniers. The sizes are Height 15.4 inch, Width 11.4 inch and Depth 8.3 inch. I’m not sure of the rack height of the...

Have you looked on YouTube. I have watched a lot of R&M reviews but especially liked the ones by Citrus Cycles (Canadian). The Tinker review was excellent as are all his R&M reviews. Also, another good (US) reviewer is Electric Bike Reviews. I’m a bit limited with 20”x2.15” tyre types but for...

    New eBikes and cyclists

I’m hoping to fit the Tinkers in the back of my C-Max but take out 2 seats. I tried the Charger GH, so maybe the fatter tyres made the frame a bit higher too and with the seat so far forward, My torso was almost touching the handlebar but I agree, what a lovely bike. Strange but the Tinker rides...

Oops sorry. Got my replies crossed Thanks Steve. Have you got the Charger, what model? I loved the bike but even the Mixte small frame was a tad large for me ☹️ But the Tinkers got us both nicely

The bikes come with the Big Ben plus 55-406 tyres as standard, without upgrade option. I have looked on-line for better gripping tyres but have found it difficult understanding tyre sizes etc. Plus being 20” x 2.15” doesn’t produce much on-line information. What tyres are on your wife’s R&M Tinker?

Great to read your update. We live near a largish lake and not far from some woodland too. I’m not sure the tyres will do very well in mud, so I may need to look for another tyre for winter but easier said than done! We have paid the deposit but are waiting for an orange bike to come in, as one...

    New eBikes and cyclists

Thanks Robbieg. Although I like other R&M models too, especially the Charger GH Vario and FS models, beIng a tad vertically challenged at 5’ 6” (and my wife a little shorter), we opted for the Tinker for the low stand over height, excellent spec and CX power. There are also, several ‘Tinker’...

Yes as stated and we can’t wait. Have ordered the orange and blue bikes with Thudbuster seat post and looking forward to sorting upgrades and the inevitable insurances
