Exactly how to splice in to battery power for lighting

When I set up a take off for a fused spur I used these, as I updated my battery to controller connector at the same time. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sis.html?_nkw=XT60+Dual+Extension+Parallel+Battery+Connector+Cable+for+DJI+Phantom+%28XT60A-YY%29&_id=301831664254&&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l46251...

    theft of electric bikes

I visited a supermarket this afternoon & whilst I waited to speak to it's owner I eventually finished loading my panniers & left. So a casual thief could have got themselves a new electric bike for the cost of a front wheel using the quick release, or if they had pliers the cost of a few spokes.

Daytime flashing front light: good or bad idea?

Just my experiences I experimented over two years whilst travelling along 10 miles of single track country road. I just could not believe that oncoming motorists could not see me, as 90%+ just kept coming & forcing me to give way. I tried a single solid light, then flashing before settling on...

    Does anyone ride a moped?

Cheers I'll have a closer look at your pictures to see how the hinge works, as it needs to be stiff enough to withstand air pressure at cruising speed but release with finger pressure

    Does anyone ride a moped?

Cheers I did think about these, but whilst they would work for me on the main road with fast traffic overtaking me continuously within two miles I come to a village with multiple traffic lights, so I then undertake all of those vehicles that have just passed me, but on narrow urban streets, only...

Scheme to take control of ebikes in urban areas

I can see the idea behind this, but it will only work for ebikes & not cyclists who can easily exceed the electric assistance speed cut off. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/nov/06/dutch-government-pilots-technology-to-cut-e-bike-road-deaths

    Does anyone ride a moped?

After a close pass this morning I wondered if having a rear number plate would cause the idiot few drivers who like to overtake on the same side of the road to actually follow the highway code guidance for passing distance. The last time I rode a moped was in the 1970s & I think driving habits...

    Wiring a brake light.

I too am thinking about having a brake light activated by pulling the brake lever. I am also running the lights off the main 48v battery. Looking at 1-3 will any of them accept sufficient volts/amp to power a rear light, as I want to keep the wiring simple. Power to switch to light. Although I...
