Cyclotricity kit, no Pas but throttle works.

Buying generic PAS may not work esp if Cyclo have change the wiring sequence , we know Cyclo use KT stuff but the KT stuff is or may be custom customer versions so they may have changed the sequence to prevent generic third party stuff working. . Problem is with moulded connectors on the...

    48 V Bafang KT Build

That's the beauty of KT's , like wise I also find PAS 1 more then ample power for nearly all my riding that doesn't involve steeper inclines. I can manage on subtle inclines but the advantage of using a higher PAS level on steeper inclines is a gimme to prevent the hub from labouring and to aid...

    48 V Bafang KT Build

It was Cwah who use to frequent the forum in the past that had issues with AKM100's he used to operate them at 48v /20a eventually destroying the gears. The larger 128's can take more current at 48v.

Woosh Knocking noise on TCM motor bottom bracket.

Contact Woosh to see if they can service it or still have spares on the shelf. Like Wisper they are pretty good at sorting customers out.

    48 V Bafang KT Build

AKM @17a should be fine a s long as one doesn't labour the hub on inclines, best to use PAS 4 or 5 on inclines and keep the speed above 8/9mph. The 350w AKM 100's nylon gears suffered at 20a/48v , 250w /17a @ 36v shouldn't be an issue. The main issue is how far and for how long one want's to...

    48 V Bafang KT Build

Simplest P/W to remember is your birth year. G370 has high internal gearing a neat small front hub motor, not yet seen a rear model. For a lightish bike and riding for predominently flattish terrain G370 is a smooth nice little hub. It will easily carry a 80- 85kg rider and gamely tows a...

    More Seizures

The met will seize any illegal ebike they stop, the rider is guaranteed a £300 fine and six points. Recently they stopped and seized a 2kw bike and the throttle registered 74mph unloaded, bloke fined and points , stupidly bloke replaced said bike with the same model. He got stopped again the...

Carrera vengeance e spec battery fuse location

One needs to check all ten cell group voltages to see if that is the reason why the BMS won't switch to allow charging. One needs to see 3v - 3.2v per cell group to be sure all are well. If the BMS detects an issue then it simply won't allow the charger to provide current.

    Battery Precautions

Also to add we have not yet had a forum member come here to say they have ever had battery catch fire. I have been here 10 years others like Flecc have been here longer and not seen them mention anyone having said so.

    Battery Precautions

Batteries fail when charging when done inappropriately . Usually means near a hot heated source. Using an incorrect charging voltage or charging sequence. Charging a faulty battery. Most instances that tend to hit the news are diy fast food bodge up's, often one supsects they use fast charge...

    batteries

If wanting to use two batteries the simple answer is to charge them both to the same voltage or within 0.2v and simply run them in parallel, there will be no issue with equalisation . This what I often did.

    Carrera battery problem, help please

    41. 5v is likely the minimum one would expect to see for a 36v battery, less then 41.5 v and the cells ( if all balanced) will likely be suffering from ageing . Ageing being capcitiy loss and mostly caused by higher internal resistance. A battery in that condition is still useable but mostly at...

    More Seizures

One suspetcs the bodge of tape hides the 30/40a controller and wiring , a lack of imagination that would automatically draw attention to it and little chance of any heat to dissipate. The rear dinner plate also doesn't help. Battery is likely the biggest risk though neatly fitted it is likely...

General concensus on TSDZ, ToSeven, and any similar competitors

I have tsdz2 for towing heavyish loads (cargo bike and trailer), OSF is applied and some programming. For other main riding it is hub and KT controller , as has been said one needs to use the more sophisticated KT with hub instead of the crappy speed controllers.
