Throttle for 3.3v torque sensor bike

I'm trying to add a throttle to a torque sensor only bike. The sensor has three wires, a 3.3v supply, a ground and a signal. Shorting the supply and the signal give me wide open throttle but connecting a standard Hall effect throttle doesn't work at all. Is there such a thing as a throttle for...

    Speed sensor dilemma

Hi all I've knackered the speed sensor on my kit. It's a S06 controller with the LCD3 display. I'm trying to find a supplier of the sensor that's not in China as I ride this bike every day (kit came from BMS originally). It's the three pin one and I'll need the spoke magnet as well (rear wheel...

    Vintage (style) conversion

I haven't used my mountain bike for a while and when I do it's only been for towpaths and guided rides etc.. so it seems a bit overkill. With this in mind I rescued a vintage Swift bike for the cycling recycle project I work at to build a "Towpath Tootler". Its got a 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub...

    Elephant Bikes

I'm considering one of these to do a cargo conversion, only problem is the drum brakes make me favour a mid drive set up. Or should I scrap the front wheel and go hub? http://elephantbike.co.uk/elephant-bike.html/

    Got a random hub motor

When I bought a load of bike bits, got a random hub motor. Its 24V in a 20"? wheel and is threaded on both sides. Any ideas? Checks out on the tester, haven't had it in bits yet! Make me any offer if anyone wants it! Or just offer some info!

    Battery case

Not suitable for what I'm building but could be a good battery/controller case for someone. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Boxcycle-bike-hard-case-storage-box-black-rigid-plastic-/131430676181?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e99e0f6d5

    A2B Battery teardown and test

So rather than hijack http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/battery-care.19875/ I thought I'd start a new thread regarding the removal and test of the frame battery that lives in the downtube. It's very picture heavy so stick with me! First job was to pull the "Switch Pack" i.e. the relay...

Odd BMS, recovering a friends battery

Friend of mine dropped her battery in as it wouldn't charge. So lid off and measured the cells, they were a bit unbalanced with a few under 3v so used my Imax to top those up, so all cells about 3.5v or above. But when using original charger it lights up red then after a few seconds goes back to...

    New controller = new bike!

Been using my mountain bike this week for little countryside riding. It was my first great conversion, Cyclotricity front 36v 250w geared hub, Momentum battery and an LCD kit I got of D8evh. Always been a really smooth ride and always gets my e-grin back. Had some time to tinker today and I've...

This is what I've done. Made it pedal assist (US version is throttle only) fitted, used a GBK-LED01...

    Shimano Nexus 8 parts

I've a Shimano Nexus 8 geared hub laced into a 26" wheel with the coaster brake kit fitted. This hub has a fault that the middle 3 gears do not engage properly. I've replaced the bearings and the gear change mechanism but it needs someone with a bit more knowledge than me to look at the core...

    Tyre choices for A2B Metro

I've almost got my A2B Metro restored and ready for the road, I've clean and regreased everything, tidied up the electrics, fitted mirrors and some Aldi panniers, just not sure about the stock tyres. I've asked on ES with no reply, the stock tyres are 20 x 3" Kenda's that look a bit slick for...

    RCA Power plugs

Does anybody know where to buy the RCA style 10.5mm power plugs for 24v batteries, I've just ordered the chargers but they come with XLR plugs and so I'll have to source and solder new plugs on. They're for two frog style batteries. I've found some stateside companies that stock them but would...
