    Overclockers Dream

Probably 44v lipos. Need 14-15Ah. Not too bothered about top speed, if I can get 14-ish MPH I'll be happy.

    Overclockers Dream

Got one of these delivered. Going to stick it in my Brompton and see what it does. Just got to sort a battery. Do the small wires need to run in a screened multicore or will any (phone even?) multicore do?

    Carrera Subway ebike

Cheers Dave, 'tis a lovely piece of kit. Will p/x for some nice DSLR kit if anyone's got some to go Rode it in this morning, 15mph on cruise, just over 3Ah used over 8.6 miles. Got to acknowledge the genius that is the CAV3. Still, unfortunately cycling plays up my sciatica so still up for...

    Carrera Subway ebike

Built this up over the the last couple of months but thanks to a very recent health issue I know it's not going to get used for a good while. The forks and kit for my Brompton will be following this shortly. It's a new Carrera Subway 20" (Large) EM3EV 10t upgraded front motor plus 4077 9 fet...

config' lipos as 36 or 48?

Just about got it set up and made looms so I can have the batteries to 10s or 15s pretty easily. Problem is my 160mm disc brake won't clear the hub so just ordered some 203mm Avids that should sort that issue.

config' lipos as 36 or 48?

Got some 8Ah 5s lipos. 6 of. So I can go 16Ah 15s or 10s 24Ah. Range need at least 18miles, 70% pretty flat. Cycle simulator suggests 19mph @ 10s and 26@ 15s. Infineon controller, CAv3 MAC 10t. Is 36 the general consnsus? Not too bothered about being able to go past 20mph.

Mac 10T upgrade front motor in 26" MTB wheel.

As above. I need a lower wound one for a 16" wheel. Wire's a bit 'stiff' where it comes out of the hub but seems fine. Currently (local builder did it for me) in 26" Mavic rim so disk or rim brakes. Done about 300 miles. £140 posted. Might sell anEM3EV 4077 9 fet matching controller to go with...

    Battery advice please..

You can get parallel charge boards from Hobbyking or off ebay. This allows you to charge each pack at the same time with the balance leads in too. Or if you work out the total charge voltage (4.2v per cell series) you can buy a suitable ebike charger. For example, 14s =58.8v (I think I've got...

    Battery advice please..

Are the 25-30c rated packs ok for our use? Think I will go down this route, seems a safer bet than buying one big pack that could just as easily die due to one dead cell. I’ll fuse the cables anyway.

    Battery advice please..

After a bit of advice as I seem to be tying myself up in knots over which battery.. I've two bikes in the process of being put together. One's a mac motor'd 26" mountain bike with CA & all the stuff, the other is a Brompton with either S12S & display, or just KU123 and a 100mm hub motor...

i had the Cyclotricity kit. Get the PAS, it make it sooo much better than having to hold the thumb throttle "roughly" where you want it.

    Motor size in 16" wheel

Need a battery for the mountain bike so think I'll go for a battery or two and a motor kit. Now 320 or 410 rpm.. Bums batteries don't much cheaper once you get to the higher current biggerAh packs.
