Halifax insurance told me they don't cover e-bikes because it has a motor on it. The were not willing the discuss the classification system of an e-bike. I'd be careful and make sure the policy wording actually says e-bike or get it in writing if you do want it on a household policy ;)

Not sure thats true as pro's dont generally use e-bikes, I find the level of excersise on my ebike is consderably less causing the cold to catch up with me, so getting warm and keeping warm tend to be two different things.
