Building a bike for heavy hill climbing on country roads.

It sounds like you may be confusing power and torque, Ash. Simply, power= effort x flow. For electrical side, power = current x voltage. For the mechanical side, power = torque x speed. So at a given speed, a higher power motor has more torque than a lower power motor. The advantage of a crank...

Battery not taking full charge after less than a month

I mentioned warm room because if you keep the battery on the bike at this time of year its performance will suffer a bit. I don't know how much that 'bit' is though...

Battery not taking full charge after less than a month

Oh, that sounds too low- my Woosh square bottle batteries are 40.8 and 41.7 after charging in a warm room. Could be worth checking the voltage at the battery connector pins with a multimeter as I'd presume that's what Woosh would have done?

I think this is the link to your manual: http://wooshbikes.co.uk/2014/support/zp-LCD.pdf

Huh? The Copenhagen wheel is almost in production isn't it?

Battery not taking full charge after less than a month

The latest batch of controllers from Woosh had a different order on the P settings as you've found. Tony at Woosh knows about this but he's on holiday at the moment. What does your battery voltage read after charging? Should be about 42v I think.

Curious marketing methods, what have I missed? Or is it like the Harry Enfield sketch again where he abuses his customers?

    Help wanted with Boss adjustment

Very well done, Dave. TETS should be totally ashamed, but your integrity is to be applauded. A really happy ending to a sorry situation.

    PAS sensor working backwards

I think one of these tangential ones would work on either side: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/281519105457?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=t&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108&ff19=0

    PAS sensor working backwards

Thanks Dave, I flipped it and tried lots if times. I looked inside and saw the 2 sensors sat next to one another so that the sensor works in a radial install- if you think about it, that's why I believe it can't work (lots of sketches with arrows on later ;-) )

    PAS sensor working backwards

Just to clarify, the reason I don't believe it can work is that its a radial fitting- the reversible ones I think must be tangential.

    PAS sensor working backwards

Hi, looking for some help, please. I just fitted a Woosh CST kit to my wife's bike. For ease of installation I put the PAS ring on the left side, following the Woosh installation instructions. They refer to just needing to flip the disc so the working side is facing out, otherwise the PAS would...

Giant LaFree Twist - conversion question

I'd start by assuming a simple problem. Is it a mechanical multi position switch? Have you tested the electrical output of the switch?

    Towing toddlers and climbing Hills

Hi, if you feel up to a conversion kit, I can vouch for the excellent 350W BPM kit from Woosh (£500). Here is my normal towing setup- it pulls like a train!

    brake switch for hydraulic brakes

I recently upgraded my front brake from rim to hydraulic disc. That meant the hidden wire brake sensor couldn't work, so I thought I'd post two different solutions I've tried. 1) add a cable to the hydraulic brake lever This was pretty quick and easy and worked well- I drilled a small hole for...
