What I meant was I have no idea how to attempt to measure cell voltages..nor do I think I would be safe doing so (60 year old woman) but I will pass this on to my son who is more technical than me...thank you again for your advice and replies.

Making the most of the Cycle to work scheme

But the way the scheme works is that you take a salary sacrifice for the amount you ask for so then pay less tax..so you theoretically pay less for your bike because of the tax break..however the bike is only hired for the duration of the scheme and it is up to individual employers to then sell...

Making the most of the Cycle to work scheme

Yeah that is what I thought but it has happened to a few people I know, the manager in Halfords in Louth actually told one of my freinds that had asked for 500 and bought a bike for 300 to take the rest in accessories as they would take the full 500 anyway....luckily I bought a freego regency at...

Making the most of the Cycle to work scheme

Don't forget to spend every penny that you ask for under the scheme ie if you ask for a grand and then buy a bike for £800 they will still take the whole grand! So spend any extra on accessories (I found out the hard way)!

    Freego Bikes

I have the freego regency really pleased with it, very sturdy but also very heavy..I get about 17 miles on high assist (but the bike is carrying just under its weight limit) on the 10 amp battery. A nice enjoyable and comfortable ride, I use it to go to work on. As far as speed is concerned my...

    Halfords electric bike

I ended up with the freego regency for my commute..and can't fault it..rear wheel hub motor which manages the short but very steep hills marvellously, it also has the throttle which to be honest I have never used, but is nice to know I could if I wanted.

    Halfords electric bike

The other thing to note is if you take £1000 on the scheme and only spend £800..they still take the £1000, so make sure you spend any surplus on accessories or you will end up paying the full £1000, this is also true if you buy a normal bike from the halfords stores..(several of my workmates got...
