ideally of course I would use everything as is with the old controller and the new battery, but this I guess is bound to fry the controller.

This is getting a bit complicated for me now as I was fearing. I would like to use as much as possible from the wisper bike: the PAS, the throttle (only for pushing the bike), the break sensors (if needed), the lights etc. I understand I cannot use the display. I do have a KT-compatible one that...

So I do actually have a controller for 48V. But how much would I need to swap out on the bike? Display I’m guessing. Anything else? Pedal sensor? I hope not the break sensors. Also the connectors seem mostly different, but I guess if there’s a will there’s a way

David, could you tell us if the controller on this bike would handle a 48v battery?

Another measurement confirms the dead cell bank. I guess this means the BMS is faulty also then? 3.3 7.4 11.0 11.0 15.1 19.1 23.2 27.3 31.3 35.4

Ok. Maybe i even have a 48v controller somewhere. But it would be so much easier to use the one on the bike as I wouldn’t have to switch displays, brakes etc right?

Scary stuff. And now I'm without a bike which I'm very dependent on (I live on an island with no cars, and need to haul everything for 2km on the bike to the house from the ferry). I do however have a 54V sharkfin battery. If the cells fit in the Wisper case, maybe I could replace the pack? Or...

Opened the case. What now?

When you say recycling it means i I need a new battery? That would be the end of the bike pretty much as those are crazy expensive. the battery was fine (and still sort of is though it needs to be charged much more frequently than before) so I don’t see why it should be scrapped due to age...

I’ll get started on this tomorrow. How do I open the case without breaking anything?

I should probably also mention that the 5A fuse of the battery blew recently.
