Help! Can you help me find an E-bike?

That bike I linked is at that price to clear the stock and fine if its the right size for you, but only the smaller size available. At that price there had to be a reason!

Help! Can you help me find an E-bike?

This sounds very similar to the motor fitted to my 2015 Yamaha powered Haibike. Mine climbs very well and I am over 100Kg and always have panniers with me. When I bought it, it was one of the most powerful. How things change. However I think it performs better than its numbers might indicate...

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

Sunday Ride I cycled to a friends house on Sunday for Lunch. A thirty mile round trip in windy conditions. Lots of climbing in both directions. We live either side of Hindhead which is a high point in our area, so lots of climbing from where I live up to Hindhead before descending to my friends...

ODO OK My odo meter on my motor has indeed reset, Yamaha obviously do not expect people to ride their motors as far as I have, but although it is starting from zero again, It is increasing as it should after each ride.

"Police stat shows that 260 electric powered bicycles were seized by officers last year"

I am reminded why I try never to read The Daily Mail. That was inaccurate click bait. The most telling statistic missing was the total number of people who had been killed by being hit by a bicycle. flecc will probably know.

The tale of a £100 second hand electric bike.

Back when I bought my Haibike in 2015, Martin the owner of the shop I bought it from asked me if I would not prefer the hard tail Haibike that had the bosch motor with the piece of mind that a tried and tested motor system brought. That was the first year that Haibike had fitted the Yamaha...

The tale of a £100 second hand electric bike.

Hi egroover, I still have the original battery, and it still works, but is now a back up as I bought a silver fish Yose 15Ah battery from ebay a couple of years ago when I saw it in a flash sale for £165.62 including charger. So that is on the bike at the moment. With two Emates that take the...

The tale of a £100 second hand electric bike.

Getting used almost every day now Another year of riding my bargain purchase £100 second hand electric bike. My other Oxygen Emate is now being used by my son to get to work and back, so the £100 second hand Emate gets a lot more use. It is now my go to errand bike for shopping and other...

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

9 Year Update After popping out to the bike to check the mileage, the reading makes no sense and may have reset at some point at some time. Now that I am not using the bike to commute on I have not been keeping an eye on the accumulated miles as frequently. Looking back in a dairy I use to note...

    Bike Storage

Occasionally I have to leave one of my bikes at my local railway station. Unfortunately I think all railway stations are high risk for bike theft. At my local station there is a place to lock bikes outside the station and other places on each of the two platforms. I always lock mine on the...

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

Hi StuJo3, rather frustratingly from your point of view is the fact that after a few unsatisfactory racks that broke I transferred a rack from an old analogue mountain bike I had that had proved rock solid. I had bought it from a local bike shop and do not know the brand. When I fitted it to my...

Telegraph Transport Headline, "Fears over plans to double e-bike power

Sorry I posted and then got busy and did not reply. Only after I posted did I notice there was a thread already discussing the story which had also appeared in The Guardian. I agree that the story from The Telegraph is click bait, similar to much that appears in that paper, and of very poor quality.

    cyc gen 4 5kw 250nm 72v

When I commuted to work and back on my 2015 Haibike Yamaha it could assist above the legal speed cut off. I only used this ability to ride with assistance at a higher speed riding home from work late at night after my shift on an undulating 10 mile B road route. At the time I was riding there...

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

Pub Sunday Lunch Ride I had been for a Christmas lunch with some mates at a pub that had been very good. Before we left we were all given an envelope with a hidden discount inside for a meal in January. A weekend arrived where I fancied a good pub Sunday roast, so a plan was made. Google maps...

    Bafang Mid-drive M510 - 250 watt making clicking / clunking noise after 1,300 miles

A primitive but effective method of stopping lock rings coming undone on old British motorbikes was to use lock wire so it physically could not come undone.

Remember I am UK based so NO US makes or outlets please

On my Haibike Yamaha crank drive hard tail I run a Schwalbe Hans Dampf gravity 2.35 tyre on the back. I run it tubeless but the carcass is so tough I cannot see it puncturing if you used a tube. It is a brilliant tyre off road and much better than I thought it would be on the road. My £100...

    Possible Speed Sensor Problem

Fixing the speed sensor. Today was the day to attempt to fix my speed sensor, which in a good way turned out slightly anti-climatically. As they were so cheap I had just gone ahead and bought a wired cycle computer. I took the bike to my friend's house, who has a well lit work area and various...
