Riese & Muller Delite GT Nuvinci 2018 Review

You’re right but I can’t be bothered and don’t have time. It’d be easier for me to take it back to fudges tomorrow and get them to fit another tyre.

Because the front tyre has been faulty since I bought it. I sent them pictures the day I got it and they agreed to replace it. Then the Paddington branch said they didn’t make the tyre anymore and said they’d get back to me about it. Which after me chasing for months they didn’t. The Epsom...

Lol and it gets better with fudges.... Bearing in mind I’ve just paid them 100£ for a full service and pointed out the bulge in the tyre... Edit - after picking the bike up: I sent them a picture of the tyre. “Not safe to ride”. I asked if I could have the tyre that’s fitted to their demo...

I’m not sure I’d agree. There is already a bulge, which is now a crack where the bulge is.... only one way it’s headed surely?

UPDATE: Got the bike back from fudges this morn and seemingly all good. I tried to make the hub slip but it seems ok, the slipping was apparently due to incorrect tension on the belt and the oil leak was apparently residue from the loose belt. Oil is oil in my book though so I will monitor...

Riese & Muller Delite GT Nuvinci 2018 Review

I spoke to the shop today, unfortunately I didn’t get the bike back on Sunday. The salesman that sold me the bike sold it to me by saying I would be provided with a courtesy bike should mine go wrong. Fudges are now saying they’ve never heard of this and that the salesman that sold me the bike...

UPDATE: 6 months old. 1.6k miles. I mentioned earlier in the thread we were hoping to move house and am very happy to report this went through and we’re now enjoying our new “palace” :) My commute is now 17 miles each way. Google maps says my journey should take 1.5 hours by car. It’s...

150 miles.... All seems good, seat creak has gone by itself and incredibly it seems a manufacturer can produce a bike that doesn’t sound like a bad of spanners. It’s SO comfortable compared to my old bikes, cannot stress this enough! And when it’s properly wet it’s very difficult to change...

The Bike: Ex demo bought from Fudges with 3miles on the clock. 2x batteries lock plus all other standard features Cost=4000 GBP My history: Many thousands of miles commuting in London, on normal bikes and ebike. First ebike bought early 2016, was ok for the first couple of years but has been...

    Riese+Muller Delite 2018 Nuvinci Review

I picked mine up today and the gearing range is huge with the Nuvinci hub. Absolutely no need to change, it'll do 30mph with comfortable cadence if you can pedal it that hard but still be fine for very steep hills. Only thing I don't like about it is that physically shifting it is giving me a...

    Riese+Muller Delite 2018 Nuvinci Review

Thanks for this. According to the RM website both the standard model and HS model both have a 26t chain ring and 28t pinion. I can’t see any difference on the specifications on the website. The salesman thinks they’re the same too but I can’t imagine they would be geared the same would they?

That’s fine, if I need more speed with gearing presumably I can use something from the HS nuvinci version. Thanks, yes very excited! :)

Full suspension touring bike with panniers and mud guards

Exactly, the faster you go the more necessary suspension is. The current crop of fat tyres do a very good job at this as I found out when I tried the haibike hardtail with them fitted. Then trying the full suspension RM was a huge improvement over this. It’s much safer in terms of road...

    Riese+Muller Delite 2018 Nuvinci Review

Thanks again for your feedback. So 30mph is possible with standard gearing? About 25mph without too fast pedalling would be perfect for me. I tried the gt nuvinci delite a couple of days ago and was so impressed. Have left a deposit and will buy subject to test ride in which I hope to be able...

Full suspension touring bike with panniers and mud guards

Yes, same as cars, mileage when commuting in London isn’t easy. With the extra battery I’ll intend to use the bike for fun too, it will need the extra range to get somewhere interesting. Looking forward to some off road adventures :)
