Santana 3 - LCD says all okay, motor dead.

Belated thanks very much for that, Tony. He asked if I was up for trying to fit a new controller, which I was, and did, and the bike is working again now. I am left wondering though, what the guarantee on the controller is - given that the old one was only 6 months old when it died. Will I...

Santana 3 - LCD says all okay, motor dead.

Could you remind him again please? I got back to him about the last checks late on Friday afternoon and am still waiting for a reply. Its a long time to go without my wheels, which I rely on.

Santana 3 - LCD says all okay, motor dead.

Are you guys okay? After an e-maill from Andy on 29th Sept suggesting I disconnect the electrical leads from the brakes, which I replied to, and send a reminder about my reply on 2nd Oct, I still haven't heard back. I also never got a reply from Hattie when I initially wrote on 27th Sept asking...

Santana 3 - LCD says all okay, motor dead.

No it doesn't do anything in push mode either (with minus button held down). I have checked the motor plug, too, I think, as best I can.

Update - managed to disconnect brake power cables, still no motor action.... :(

Santana 3 - LCD says all okay, motor dead.

Thank you, Woosh! This is so excruciatingly embarrassing, being so clueless, but I guess I am learning... hopefully. I became pretty sure that the issue was with the front brake, the lever had been a bit loose recently, though I managed to adjust that okay, but yesterday I also spotted a bit of...

Santana 3 - LCD says all okay, motor dead.

I've sent an e-mail to Hattie, but because I am anxious about it (very untechnical!), I am wondering if this is a familiar problem that might have an easy fix, if there is someone local who could do it. The bike is just under 6 months old and has been great until today. To clarify, I was...

Hello, Looking at getting my first e-bike.

Ain't that the truth. I would have had a Crusa if it wasn't for that!

Hello, Looking at getting my first e-bike.

Thanks! New one is a Santana 3. Old one was Pro Rider E-Tourer.

Hello, Looking at getting my first e-bike.

I got my first Woosh delivered and tried out today. My previous bike , was cheaper, cumbersome, and recently developing increasing wear and tear issues. I am truly amazed by the difference. The Woosh is just so much nicer to ride, even with the power off, which on the previous one was not really...

Recommedations for battery for Pro Rider E-Tourer needed.

That's really helpful, thank you, Chainring! :)

Recommedations for battery for Pro Rider E-Tourer needed.

The battery on my Pro Rider E-Tourer is getting a bit old and tired. So far I've returned a cheap E-Bay one as well as a much pricier one from a company that Pro-Rider advocated, as they no longer sell them themselves. Its a 36v 10ah silverfish type, that follows the line of the seat post...

    How ridiculous are electric scooters?

Thanks. (I like the Safari better tho! )

    How ridiculous are electric scooters?

Thanks Dave. I had already concluded that, much as I would like some shelter from the wind, the extra resistance would make these machines very inefficient. Am firmly back in the electric bike camp and currently debating between the Woosh Sant Ana 2 or Petite! If your Safari had been in stock...

Bigbear or Sunbear, that is the question.

.. but the Santana2 is more in line with my aspirations :)

Bigbear or Sunbear, that is the question.

So do you think the Petite is slowed by the smaller wheels? I'm 5'3 but used to full sized bikes and currently debating between the Petite and the Sant Ana 2....
