    Nexus 7 Problems

Probably not related, but one of the problems I had with my nexus hub was losing the first few gears.Took awhile to realize the outer cable had jumped out of it`s recess where it goes into the twist grip.It takes quite some effort to do this and I was beginning to think kids had pulled it...

    Sprint parts Question

Well it rained on the way home tonight but the quick fix kept it dry. Who`d of thought rubber gloves would have so many uses :D you can even see the leds through them. I wonder where I came up with that idea from ;) I`d be interested to see an lcd version in bright sunshine I could...

    Sprint parts Question

Ah I see, I was just hoping for the case.the pcb and switch are all intact but as Ian says the case is really brittle and tiny pieces are missing including the loop that holds it to the handlebars. I think I may opt to mod a replacement from a project box from Maplins. My Sprint is the dynamo...

    Sprint parts Question

Hi all, came off my bike this morning :( I scraped my knee and elbow and the bike scraped the right hand pedal but shattered the battery indicator/switch box on the handle bars. Before I phone 50 cycles does anyone know if these are available as a spare? Also looks like it`s going to be a fun...

    Bicycle Suspension

I don`t know how feasible/useful this would be.But how about refilling them with thicker oil or grease. Derek

Is it possible to unrestrict a Sprint?

So looks like the only way of increasing the Sprints top speed is a bigger front wheel or the fattest tyre possible    My Sprints Li-on for the first month was perfect.Regardless of throttle position or gradient I had a green light all the time. Now I find some...

How do the brushed motors work?

Yep your right the spinning action of the commutator helps to polish the carbon brush. Also it has a much larger contact area than a switch contact. But they still can have problems, Hoover and Hotpoint introduced laminated carbon brushes on there washing machines to stop them burning up...

    Rattling front mudguard Sprint 7

Yup my Sprint too suffers from the above niggles. Although the mudguards usually only rattle when I ride one handed for signalling etc. The brake problem seems on mine at least to be too much play in the V brake levers. If you hold the brake on and rock the bike back and forth you can watch the...

    next new bike help

Ezee - spoilt for choice (Liv/Sprint/Quando)

Yep think I will change the pedals just so I can stop looking foolish at traffic lights. Where you raise a foot and push down expecting a pedal and instead stamp down on fresh air.

Ezee - spoilt for choice (Liv/Sprint/Quando)

Here`s another thumbs up for the Sprint.I`ve had mine for two weeks now and it`s doing a brilliant job getting me back and forth to work.Although unlike Fatmog I do use all 7 gears :D My route does have steep hills and the condition I get there in is totally different from my old unpowered...

    Battery Charge times

Thanks for the reply Flecc, I was hoping that from the charge time I could get an indicator of how deep I was discharging the battery with the terrain/distance I`m covering, so I could avoid deep discharging it.

    Battery Charge times

I`ve been Commuting to work with my new Sprint for two weeks now. :D And was wondering if a charge time of 2 hours to the full light coming on, would be a good indicator of battery usage. With this example being under half ? Derek

    Nuvinci hub on a Twist/Lite

This reminds me of an old Philips washing machine pulley although it worked in a totally different way. It used large steel balls inside a `V` pulley and as it turned faster the balls pushed outward causing the pulley to close, so the belt was forced to run further out so changing the gear...

    Best Electric Bike

This is a similar question that I need help with. I really like the look of the Torq but dont think it will manage the hills. Which signs say are 1 in 8 but my legs beg to differ ;) Two of which are quite long. I travel just over 12 miles to get to work and back and was looking at the Ezee...
