Kalkhoff Impulse Evo - shift sensor query

No I am at a stop - say at a roundabout or at the bottom of a hill. I try to start and there is no power until the second turn of the pedals. If I return the setting to 150ms I have power at the first turn.

    Kalkhoff Impulse EVO RS

Robwalley - I had a similar problem recently with my new Image 5.i. Check the shift sensor settings and put them to 150ms. I did that and it reset the crank sensor.

Kalkhoff Impulse Evo - shift sensor query

I am hoping someone can answer this question as there isn't anything on the Kalkhoff site. I have purchased a Kalkhoff Image 5.I Advance with the Impulse Evo motor. Its great but I have found a bit of a "glitch" - maybe I am missing something. In the settings there is a shift sensor change -...

non pneumatic tyres - good investment?

I did pop down to my local dealer and have a look at them. The dealer hasn't had many come back but they are expensive £55 per tyre fitted. I am going to see how I go this winter. Thanks for the replies though!

non pneumatic tyres - good investment?

That's ok Rich. I do know how to repair a puncture but I did have a heck of a job getting the Schwalbe tyre off the front wheel on my own. My Kalkhoff is pretty heavy and its just really awkward. I did buy myself some Park Tool tyre levers though - no breakages since then!

non pneumatic tyres - good investment?

There really is no need for sarcasm. Ebikes are heavy and yes I have changed my front tyre on my own. My bike has Schwalbe tyres that are very difficult to get off (four broken tyre irons later) and I do a fair distance each day. I was asking for opinions not sarcastic comments.

non pneumatic tyres - good investment?

Ok chaps another question before I blow the best part of £100 on these. So bit of background. I have an 22 mile round trip each day combination of good cycle path (we are very lucky in Bristol) and quiet roads. Its been bothering me lately that I would struggle on my own if I had a rear wheel...

Is this the next generation of Ebike?

I think the base model Gain is retailing for £1699 which is pretty good considering. I take the point about assistance though. My Kalkhoff is fantastic at making hills easy. I would like to try one of the Orbea bikes out though.

I like the look of those and they do a ladies version too. Am looking at the Gore range and a new brand on me - Showers pass

Is this the next generation of Ebike?

Thoughts please on this - https://www.orbea.com/gb-en/ebikes/gain-d40 If I read this right the bike is coming in at 13kg - http://road.cc/content/tech-news/228810-orbeas-gain-e-bike-looks-just-normal-road-bike-packs-250w-motor I checked with my local supplier and there will be commuter/hybrid...

    Winter cycling jackets

I think another issue is that there aren't that many retailers that cater for ladies who cycle. When I went into Go Outdoors in Bristol the ladies cycling clothing range was pretty minimal and if you go into the bike shops it costs a fortune!

    Winter cycling jackets

Thinking about this I might just give it a try - as you say you can layer it up and it wouldn't matter too much if you just got a couple of seasons out of it.

    Winter cycling jackets

Thanks. I will check out the Gore and Planet X ranges. Kangooroo - I get where you are coming from but I think it might be a bit on the big side! Showers pass was another brand that has been recommended but they do seem quite expensive.

If you hate ebikers and e bikes don't look at this .

The new orbea road bikes are very nice - https://www.orbea.com/gb-en/ebikes/gain-d40

    Winter cycling jackets

Does anyone have any recommendations for winter waterproof cycling jackets please? I have a Proviz jacket which is great but I do find its a bit too thin for really cold days even with a couple of layers on. Ideally visible, waterproof and windproof.

    New front fork for Kalkhoff

Hi I have a Kalkhoff pro connect with a basic suntour front fork. I was thinking for the winter I might upgrade the front fork but my question is: 1. Does anyone have any recommendations? Its a pretty basic bike but I do have hydraulic disc brakes. 2. Do I need to order an ebike specific...
