    Whisper eco 36v 8A charging

Hi Flecc, I road the bike to and from work, 8 miles a day, and let it charge back to full for a hour or so each evening. I've not used it since July, but I'm aware of the danger of a full discharge, so I topped it up a few times. Do you get a memory effect in these batteries...

    Wisper 905 Eco

Sold Mike, from the north, has just left with his Wisper 905 Eco. I'm not sure that I've convinced him that the green mudguards are a sophisticated style statement. He may want to take you up on the offer of a black set. Regards, Rob

    Wisper anomaly

Where did you buy it from? Any respectable retailer would be happy to help you.

    Wisper anomaly

Maybe the sensor for the peddling isn't quite close enough, and the bikes not always noticing that you're still peddling. If you're getting fitter then I guess you're not riding full throttle all the time.

    Big Brother

I would like to disagree. An auction where nothing happens is worse than a forum where nothing happens. My ebay auction got a few bids, but still failed to reach a fair price. Although I believe I may do better if I remove my mudguards. I know I'm off topic so feel free to mod me down, my...

    Wisper 905 Eco

It never occurred to me that someone would prefer black. :o Thank you for the offer. There's no accounting for a lack of taste. Regards, Rob

    Selling and Buying Second-hand e-bikes

What if the seller got their Wisper 905 Eco from a Cycle2Work deal? It can easily work out as a 40% discount. That drops the original price from £940 down to less than £600 before any devaluation?

    Wisper 905 Eco

I'm hurt. There's no accounting for a lack of taste. These are Green, UK made, Ogg Mudgaurds for sale. Uniquely hand crafted in order to fit to a Wisper 905 Eco, which is supplied at no extra cost. The rear guard in particular was quite a challenge. AndyOfTheSouth - The battery has...

    I give up ... ?

I don't envy you, best of luck. Your right OMG! The hot weather is keeping the battery voltage up longer. I'm no fitter than I ever was, I've just been fooling myself. If only I'd thought it through earlier, I would never have left my Wisper chained to the gas pipe all day. I'm lucky, I work...

    I give up ... ?

I'm thinking of giving up ebiking for a couple of decades. Last week, after 4 months of riding my Wisper 905 ECO to work most every day, I realised it was alot easier than when I started out. I thought either the battery voltage had increased, the gravitational constant reduced, or...

    Grinding noise from 905 motor.

The noise from the motor on my 905ECO gets louder when headed up hill at low speed. I was told by TETS that it normal. Usually I can't hear it, due to the traffic noise. Have you considered having a fixed camera and cycling past it to get a recording? You'll need to find somewhere quiet and...

    Wolfram Alpha Live Tonight

Ubuntu fast. Its painfully slow on my 433 MHz Toshiba laptop. If you want fast then go for Arch, Vector or Puppy. If you want safe, easy and a dull brown theme then choose Ubuntu.

    Clicks and Judders

My 905 Eco is back in good health, and I'm now the proud owner of a HCW-5 lockring spanner and a 36/40mm headstock spanner. The judder from the front brake dissappeared after I tighened the headstock. With Norman's advice, tighening the bottom bracket was straight forward. Regards, Rob

    Clicks and Judders

Thanks for the offer and advice Mussels. I've a few relatives in the city, but I'm small town only now a days. I've just got an email from Norman, I'll post a reply when we get it fixed.

    Clicks and Judders

There's no grinding coming from the bearings, the cranks rotate nice and smoothly. The wobble is more pronounced on the chain side, it feels like the pivot point for the wobble it on the left side of the bottom bracket. I'd prefer to fix it myself, as long as I had a good guide, and wasn't...

    Clicks and Judders

Thanks David, I got the bike through a Cycle2Work scheme. Douglas Lawson put me in touch with Eddie at TETS, as Halfords were having trouble. I had 3 abysmal Carrera Sparcs from Halfords before I traded up to a Wisper. The main reason I insisted on Wisper was the support I'd seen here. I'm...

    Clicks and Judders

I'm new to cycling and appreciate all the advice I can get. Thank you. Are these Avid Rim Wrangler II the ones? When I spoke to the shop they said it sounds like a service issue, and I really don't want to waste a morning driving into Oxford to argue about it. They may well be right, I won't...

    Clicks and Judders

I've been enjoying riding my Wisper 905 Eco to work for over a month. Overall I very pleased with it, especially now it's got Ogg mudguards. I've got 2 niggles that I appreciate some advice on. 1) The front brake judders, which makes me nervous, especially in the wet. I checked all the...
