    My ideal conversion kit

Thanks for the tips. Will keep an eye on it and get myself a spoke tool. Its suprising how small bumbs at 10 miles an hour become a lot more significant at 18 miles an hour. That back wheel is taking some punishment.

    My ideal conversion kit

Quick update. I ordered the kit from ebc and fitted with no problems. The kit for the price seems very good quality and arrived next day. Everything you need is in the box with a good set of fitting instructions. In the end i went with the rear wheel 250 watt kit with a 13ah frame battery. I did...

    My ideal conversion kit

I think for price and convenience the ebc kit is favorite. It should be enough battery for 90 percent of my journeys. It seems like a good kit for an introduction to ebiking and if i want to upgrade in the future i will give it to my dad and i will have a better idea of what i really need. So...

    My ideal conversion kit

That lot comes to £523 including £177 for shipping. Surely shipping cannot be that expensive? If import duty has to be paid as well i think the woosh kit at £ 634 would be a better option or stick with the original ebc kit at £430.

Ok, so this is my attempt at building a kit from parts https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-kit/548-s-lcd1-e-bike-lcd-meter-ebike-kit.html#/196-voltage-24v_36v https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-battery/781-36v145ah-case-02-panasonic-battery-pack-battery.html#/26-ac_voltage-100132vac...

    My ideal conversion kit

I'm looking to convert my old Claude Butler mountain bike. The kit that I'm very close to buying is this one. http://www.electricbikeconversions.co.uk/product/250w-front-wheel-electric-bike-conversion-kit/ However despite this being a very good price and it seems well reviewed on these forums...

    Looking to convert

Well its reassuring that nobody ever seems to be disappointed with the 250w covertion kits. I've just got to decide between the 13ah frame battery or 11 ah rack. Given the calculations above the extra 2ah would make about 5 miles differance if you take an average of 15 watt/hours per mile. I...

    Looking to convert

From what your saying I suppose you could get 30 to 35 miles from your battery if you needed to maybe more if you knew you had to make it last. With 90 per cent of my journeys being less than 20 miles a 13ah battery should be fine. For longer leasure rides i could pick up a cheap light weight...

    Looking to convert

Thanks for the replys. You could have a point about the frame battery, with luggage ect on the back along with the battery it may be a bit rear heavey. Also with the kit i linked to the frame battery is 13ah rather than 11ah for the pannier at the same price. I suppose i should get over the...
