why is this even up for debate?

I fail to see how seeing a speeding driver in my mirror would have any effect on how he passes me. I can hear cars approaching from behind and I’m usually about two feet from the kerb with nowhere to go other than up on the kerb. Even if I stopped he could still run over me. I try to avoid roads...

why is this even up for debate?

Just to balance things up a little: last week I was on a two week MTB holiday in Dumfries and Galloway. One morning we were taking the bikes by car to our starting point along a winding B road. I came upon a group of 9 road cyclists two in the front riding two abreast and the rest in single...

Apple Air Tag review, lets see if we can track a bike

Not had time to look at the video yet but me and my partner have hidden AirTags on our bikes for over a year. No problems tracking them. Also got one on the cat’s collar. We got 4 in a pack.

    Cycling. Health. Covid. Diet.

It's the first time I've dipped into this thread but I see what you mean. Rather than diet, I think it may be a heart failure from reading my next energy bill that gets me. Or a nuclear explosion when the Ukraine situation gets warmed up.

    Help finding right component

A friend of mine is doing exactly what you are doing on the same bike. My Bosch 753 tool for Gen 2 motors took the guard and sprocket off but they were one piece. Replacement was £104. Two bike shops and Soundwave told me that to replace with a standard flat sprocket was either not doable or...

    Bosch sprocket help.

The bike is a 4.0 Hardsevern and it says Sduro on the chainstay. It has a Bosch CX motor. I have found a sprocket with a 3mm offset can this be used with an ordinary chain guard screwed up to the offsett collar? These are £15 and £24 and the guard can be re-used.

    Bosch sprocket help.

Whilst helping a friend remove the Bosch motor sprocket from his Haibike Hardseven Sduro we found that the chain guard ring was part of the sprocket. This part is very expensive but I don’t see why we can’t fit separates which will be much cheaper. Rather than a flat sprocket like I have on my...

    advice for £1000 emtb build

Yes but when eventually approached by the police the seller just says that he bought it at a car boot sale. That was the case when mine was found in Cash Convertors.

    Council recycling centre bike access

You can just turn up in SYorks so long as you behave like a car with regard to queuing and parking BUT, there are cases of pedestrians walking everywhere across the entrances and cyclists riding in by the exit because “they are not a car”. A site in the south had pedestrians walking in from...

jimmy no longer recells bosch battery's !

I still find the five bars useful. I have a 4 year old Cube with a CX motor which has now done around 7,000 miles nearly all off road. On my average 35 to 40 mile ride I always come home with 3 bars showing. The only time I can remember having 2 bars was a ride that did 5,000ft in 25 miles then...

    Pedelec Law - The Details

I agree that everything at night should be well lit but my query was regarding reflectors in the daytime, which happen to be covered by the lighting regs.

    Pedelec Law - The Details

Many thanks for the reply. Would these lighting regulations for public roads also extend to PROW’s, in particular, bridleways?

    Pedelec Law - The Details

I know that the above comments pertain to bells but I was wondering if the same applied to the use, after purchase, of pedal and spoke reflectors. I ask because I recently came across a Facebook site devoted to banning all cyclists from using canal towpaths. The main voice on that site is...

Paint them with black Hammerite. I’ve dabbed all my metal bolt heads to prevent rust.

ebike shop takes the pi$$ This product is restricted to 'Our bike customers'.

I didn't Think that he had to take the bike back at all unless you bought it online and it was within 14 days, unless there was something wrong with it. I run a business and buy parts to keep my customers running, I don’t have to sell them to other people. I know nothing about Ebike shop, just...
