The crank bearings on my bafang mid drive have started to give up, there is play in the shaft that you can see and feel. Mostly you can see it on the left side. How easy is the bearing replacment? and where do I get them? Also is it worth pulling the rest off the motor down to check everything...

Been looking at putting a mid drive kit on a Dawes Gallaxy AL, but would like to keep the drop bars. The bike will only be used with pedle assist, so no throttle. Do I still have to have the break switches as the breaks in the kits would not work with the drop bars and gear change?

Hello just joined, don't have a electric bike yet but looking to convert a Dawes gallery AL, for my commute to work. Tempted by a crank driven one but still learning.
