    Newbie wanting de-restricted bike

Hi, I purchased a 2019 Cube Acid One Hybrid 500w in October last year when they were first released. Shortly afterwards I modified it myself with two neodymium magnets on the crank and repositioned the speed sensor. This works fantastic and because the speed reading is now out, I also purchased...

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

I don't really know to be honest and probably won't ride fast enough to find out. I thought I read somewhere it cuts off at 28mph.

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

I only posted on this thread to let people know they might not need to spend over £100 for a dongle if they can do what I have done. It works and I am happy with it and I have definitely noticed a big difference. Its quite simple really, Try it, buy an expensive dongle or forget about it. Steve.

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

Without a dongle or modification the assistance stops at 15.5mph and then your peddling without any assistance. In my case it is much easier to pedal because I am getting continued assistance. Also, I would not want to ride much faster than 22mph because the gearing wouldn't really be correct...

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

That's good to know, I was just interested and if a cracked dongle and software became available, I'd be interested to see what information is present that's all. I know a few people who seem afraid to give it a go due to its against the law and all that rubbish. Its my bike and if I want to...

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

I've never heard of Tamper Detect software and two magnets won't give two pulses, it simply creates a stronger magnetic field! I've far exceeded 5 minutes of cycling and covered many miles without issue; travelling at an average of 22mph with assistance. I am more than happy with how everything...

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

Yeah, no errors as of yet and I believe my motor is a CX3. All working OK, although to be fair I did use two magnets at 3mm thickness to enable them to be closer to the sensor. Perhaps some people are only using one and it's not close enough to the sensor, which is causing an error? Steve.

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

I modified mine for the price of two Neodymium magnets at a cost of about 60 pence. Works perfectly and didn't need to buy an expensive dongle or speedbox. I just repositioned the sensor close to the crank on the opposite side of the frame and put the magnets on the end of the pedal and it works...

    Best, easiest bike to derestrict?

Hi, I would like to confirm that it works! I moved the sensor to the other side of the frame near the crank and tie wrapped it in position. Placed two small 10mm Neodymium magnets on the end of the pedal (that part is steel) to make the magnets closer to the sensor and it works brilliantly. The...

    Best, easiest bike to derestrict?

I've just watched a few YouTube videos of it working with Bosch motors and someone who works in a shop also told me it works. I guess you've probably got a Yamaha motor. Steve,

Heavy Hybrid under cycle to work scheme?

The Woosh Rio might be a good bike for you http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?rio-mtb or take a look at a Cube bike as they are priced competitively https://www.leisurewheels.co.uk/m12b0s147p0/ELECTRIC-BIKES/ELECTRIC-BIKES. Steve.

    Best, easiest bike to derestrict?

I've ordered the Cube Acid Hybrid One 500-29, 2019 model today. Probably won't derestrict it straight away. However, there are two ways to do this I believe, 1) Fit a Speedbox dongle (easy) and 2) reposition the wheel sensor and fit the wheel magnet to the left crank. This achieves approx 28mph...

    Best, easiest bike to derestrict?

Hmm, you say they are easy to do, but then ask how to do it? So how do you know they are easy to do? Search these forums or search Google for E Bike Tuning, I don't know, sorry. Steve.

An electric bike easily modified by entering a code

Now considering the Woosh Rio with a 17Ah battery, forgetting about derestriction with other makes etc. It just seems hassle and for what I need the bike for it is not really appropriate. Besides the Woosh has all the extras I would want in a bike with an entry level price of £1300. Hydraulic...

An electric bike easily modified by entering a code

After some research the 1000w is not very practical with a limited range as the torque is always wanting to unleash itself, so 15-17 miles before a charge is no good for me. I have been advised that a good solution for my needs would be a 500w bike with a 21Ah battery giving me a range of approx...
