How to get legal approval for a pedelec throttle

Should count as a brake on both rear wheels. I think their issue is that they don't want the vehicle swerving under braking so a brake on both wheels required for stability under braking.

Sounds like he just wants attention to me.

    Tired legs.....

Been past police sitting at a roundabout going 25mph+ whilst peddling twice this week already. Pro cyclists and decent road cyclists go those speeds all day. Don't act like a jackass.

Battery won’t charge past 99% and won’t stop charging

Makes no difference. Balancing could takes hours or even a day or more if a cell has drifted.

Could be balancing. Leave it for a few hours.

Buy one, reverse engineer the protocol and implement it in Arduino, return it and save yourself £350 if you think it's just a wireless button.

Not safe even in Tunbridge Wells

Yeah, his comment was ridiculous as he should know the highway code, having presumably passed his driving test. Giving way to the right at the roundabout being the obvious.

Not safe even in Tunbridge Wells

Been there, done that. Didn't then try and stay to the side of that car though! I would have backed off.

    Help! ERROR E22 AND E21

Personally I lost all sympathy for you after reading that. Have you done anything to the bike such as check it's safe? It's your only form of transport aside your legs so it was only a matter of time before something "unexpected" happened to it.

    Help! ERROR E22 AND E21

Unless they gave you paperwork stating the requirement then you can argue the toss with them. In fact I'd stamp my foot regardless, preferably when they've got a queue of people waiting.

    Help! ERROR E22 AND E21

Don't be. But I wouldn't have only one (e)bike as a form of transport if it's critical if at all possible. Ebikes have more things to go wrong, although an ebike with a hub motor can offset that greatly as your drivetrain can be nuked and can still carry on if it has a throttle.

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

You shouldn't have paid duty, but you should have paid VAT. £15 (Ebay says £18) is the threshold for paying VAT on import; £135 for duty. You got screwed or you misread the invoice. https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty DHL, UPS etc disregard the law because most don't know...

BMS with same power out and charge wires

One good thing about having a separate charging connector (and power button!) is no sparking when plugging in the battery to the controller. That's all I can argue.

    GoSwiss bites the dust

A few companies like Bosch are starting to get a stranglehold on the market who skirt the rules on 250W limit. And the lower end is dominated by Chinese makers.

    BBSHD grinding noise issues

Was what I was experiencing. Sound of it was much more higher frequency though. It wasn't the chain ring but the bottom of the derailleur.

    BBSHD grinding noise issues

I had a similar issue of noise. Clicking when taking off from a stop or when I put a lot of torque through the pedals. I suspected the clutch. When I had clear space to look back, I noticed the derailleur moving when the noise happened. Adjusted it and it's been fine since. YMMV.

    Exploding Pinarello

The issue was that, in an Australian summer (even though it was morning), along with the fact that the motor was pushing uphill, AND likely the fact that the motor was asking more of the cells than what they were designed for. Cheap or expensive, if you push them more they can give, bad things...
