    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Well, it looks like I have indeed received the newer model and I must say I was thinking that it does appear to be quieter than others have commented and indeed posted videos of. If it is due better machining tolerances then that certainly is a positive improvement!

Carrera Crossfire weird click sound when turning battery on.

Yes, well said Nealh, it could well be bad battery connections. If so, signs of corrosion and arcing should be visible on the contacts, and may be fixed by cleaning and tightening the contacts and applying some weatherproof lubricant.

Carrera Crossfire weird click sound when turning battery on.

Sounds like it's the BMS possibly cutting out when there is a load on the battery due to low voltage being sensed from internal cell or cells. Looks like you need to have someone look at your battery for you :(

Carrera Crossfire weird click sound when turning battery on.

It could be the Battery Management System (BMS) inside the battery cutting out the battery supply due to a battery problem, probably low battery voltage. I think that there is sometimes a procedure that can be followed to re equalise cell voltage, but sometimes a specific charger is needed. Any...

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Placed a rubber washer on the spoke magnet and managed to get it to 2.5mm from the sensor. Feels nice and firm on the spoke and is well lined up with the arrow on the sensor. Nipped out for a quick 6.6 miles and all went well... We will see what happens. Thanks for your replies. I'll ask for...

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Another question. The seller was advertising the TSDZ2 as "New upgraded 2018 model" Anyone know if there really was/is a new upgraded 2018 model, or is it just sales talk (that worked on me.....) Additional question. How would I know I have received the new improved model?????

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Thanks Zac. Everything appears tightly connected and lined up ok with magnet in center of the arrow on sensor and a 5mm gap. I suppose it could be the sensor that's faulty? As the magnet feels quite strong. Although the speed readout always appears constant and stable with no weird spurious...

Thanks for your help. If the weather permits, I'll try and put some miles on it to see what happens.

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Thanks Tony To add more confusion I have just returned from a 13 mile ride with a few climbs but nothing massive, and all worked perfectly :) To me the fault didn't feel or sound mechanical like a transmission gear slipping, if felt intermittent electrical?? I have only done 50 miles. By...

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

I have just checked both LH and RH torque readings under fixed load by standing a weight on each pedal in turn with the crank turned forwards at 90 degrees. These were the results: LH Crank: Initial reading 78 2.2kg load 84 4.4kg load90 RH Crank: Initial reading 78 2.2kg load 85 4.4kg load 92 I...

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Ok, I've found that ther's a hidden menu that appears to show torque sensor values. I'll add the VLCD-5 Manual PDF for info but you may well already have it. The Chinese to English may well have gotten a bit confused in translation... It refers to "te" as Torque signal value and "te1" as...

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Thanks TJS109, Physical set up looks good, magnet in line with arrow and about 5mm gap. Also the speed display is steady and constant even when the fault is apparent.

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Thanks DouglasXK, Wouldn't a bent connector pin give a permanent fault? Battery came from same Aliexpress supplier and is 36v 13.4ah. At the moment, with the amount of riding I have done the battery hasn't even dropped 1 bar on the display so battery voltage should still be quite high. It...

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Thanks wheeliepete, Have red bloodshot eyes from screen reading 150+ pages......... Only common issue is linked to torque sensor calibration at startup. I found a Chinese/English VLCD5 manual online that shows a hidden menu that shows values for torque sensor initial value and another value. It...

    Help please, TSDZ2 problem...

Thanks Nealh, I am aware of the need to let the system initialise before rotating the pedals. I will try talking to the guys at Woosh that you suggest.
