    Noisy Yamaha PWSE

I have a full suss Haibike with the Yamaha motor, it was noisy right from the start, a bearing whine, but is now getting worse. I bought it just before covid, and on the first service the bike shop agreed it was noisy, and suggested I wait until after the pandemic, yeah, OK. The bike shop has...

    New motor required Yamaha

I recently bought an Haibike full seven with the Yamaha system, and yes it looks good and performs magnificently and is very reliable, and I love it. I already have an Hard tail Giant Bafang conversion. The Yamaha motor was definitely noisy at certain times, and way more noisy than the Bafang...

    Maintenance stand

Any reccomendations for a maintenenace stand for my Haibike, the suport/clamp tube is square section, and a steep angle, most I have seen look most suitable for round section top tube. I would most times be using it without the weight of the battery, but occasionally with the battery engaged...

    Be Prepared

OK, I try to be prepared for all possible outcomes, but sometimes it does not work out. I recently got a new Haibike full seven, and have done 200 miles on it, I have a standard back pack with all my spares in it, which I always carry, because I go in remote off road areas. Well I got a puncture...

    Spare tyre or repair

OK this is not specific to an electric bike but maybe this forum can help me. I ride my ebike in some very remote locations over high off road moorland, almost no-one goes up there.. Twice now I have blown a 2-3 inch rip in a tyre sidewall, once I had an 8 mile walk out and call my other half...

    Bafang 250W amazing range

I have just put my 250W Bafang conversion through a challenge. I did a 50 mile circuit over some extreme territory, over the top of Bowland fell, a long very remote off road track, followed by a return over and through the trough of Bowland, and up to Jubilee tower. I did 50 miles, 4000ft of...

    Bafang gear sensor

Just a thumbs up for this bit of kit. Yes I know you do not really need one, you can blip a brake lever or stop pedaling , and some sellers are asking £50, so not worth it, but I bought one from China , on ebay for £19, so not a big investment. My son sometimes uses my bike, and he will just...

Just finished my 250W Bafang conversion

I have completed my 250W Bafang conversion and I am very pleased with the result. The conversion was on a new 27.5 Giant hard tail. I have previously converted my old Orange P7 to a hub drive, but I wanted a more modern bike. The old P7 had many, many thousands of hard miles over 20 years of...

    Bafang mid drive throttle settings.

Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the throttle settings to cut out at 6Km/hr. I like to use the throttle as a launch assist. I have a programming cable and could just play with the settings, but it would help to know if it is possible. Thanks in advance

    Oldie still going strong

I have just de-lurked to join this excellent forum, thanks to all for the excellent advice, freely given, and to the polite debate. Me, I am an oldie, and so is my bike, now an ebike. I started Mountain biking in the late 1980s, with rigid frame bikes, and eventually graduated to an Orange P7...
