I ride with a mid-drive Bafang 750w kit. I have to replace the rear sprocket at least three times a year which gets expensive. Does anyone else have this problem?
I'd like to check the Wattage on an electric hub motor. The maker claims it's 1000w, I'm not convinced. Do I need to by-pass the controller to place the multimeter into the circuit? I'm not getting a reading as it is, but don't want to risk damage to anything.
My new controller has two live connections for the battery. Can anyone tell me what he thinner one is for? No manual .Described as electric lock line. What does that mean?
I've bought an inverter suitcase generator to charge my ebike batteries off grid. To save time can I charge two batteries at the same time with a 'Y' splitter?
Just out of interest. Is it possible to have a front wheel hub conversion set up alongside a mid-drive Bafang conversion. I realise the weight of two batteries would be an issue but would the PAS control for the front, work off the mid-drive ?
I've just swapped my Bafang 750W onto a lighter bike and I've noticed the power cutting off at about 22mph like the brakes are on even though I'm pedalling hard on the flat. Is that normal? It picks up again if I use the thumb throttle.
Can anyone tell me if a higher amperage is better on a battery protection board. Some are advertised as 20 or 25A, but some are 45A. My battery will be 48V
My conversion kit provided spade connectors for lights which I wired up and both were working ,but soon blew. The motor is 750w the battery 48v. Is the power surge too much? How do I fix it?
