Brief update: So, Rutland paid for and arranged collection. They have assessed the bike and agree there is a problem and are replacing the motor under warranty, so I guess, provided the bike comes back to me in good fettle, I couldn’t have expected more from an otherwise unsatisfactory...

I do agree with you mostly Crossroads, but as sophisticated as these machines are now becoming, it's inevitable that a few Friday machines will get through, it'll be how they deal with my problems that'll decide me on how good they are. Restrict a speed model?

Hi All, new to all this, I was wondering is it possible to restrict an unrestricted “speed model” that requires registration etc., in order that it doesn’t require said registration? If so, how would that be achieved?. Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn’t find anything. Thanks, Lee

    Bike failing to turn on

If my wife doesn’t use her Kalkhoff for a week or so, the handlebar button doesn’t wake the bike and I have to press the on/off on the battery itself. From that point the handlebar button then operates fine. I believe it to be a “sleep” mode or similar? Could it be something like that?
