    New chain !

I don't know if it's actually any better, but KMC do a mid drive ebike chain I don't normally use Halfords, but with the sale price it seemed cheaper than anywhere else https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-parts/gears-drivetrain-and-cables/kmc-e10-e-bike-10-speed-chain-silver-122l-300486.html

Yuba Mundo cargo bike with Tongsheng TSDZ8

Yep, I got the bike 2nd hand. It's got Shimano 4 piston brakes, with magnet brake sensors. I've got Magura brakes on another cargo bike, advantage with them is you can get levers with proper sensors - they work really well.

Yuba Mundo cargo bike with Tongsheng TSDZ8

The display is an M58, which is okay It's not always very easy to read in daylight (with the brightness turned right up). And there's no indication for the brake sensors on it, so you can't see what they're doing. To set them up I actually got another bike right alongside and plugged the sensors...

Yuba Mundo cargo bike with Tongsheng TSDZ8

Just finishing this, it's a Yuba Mundo with a Tongsheng TSDZ8. After numerous front & rear hub motor conversions, this is my first mid motor It's a 48v 20ah battery. Front and rear lights are linkbest brand, and they both have lights to the side, so should be pretty visible. They run off the...

Hydraulic disc brakes with ebike cutout

Needed to get a new set of decent hydraulic disc brakes for one of the bikes. Found you can get genuine Shimano MT200 on aliexpress for about £35 or whatever. Make sure you order the front/rear left/right the way round you want it, and right length of hoses...

    Schwinn chopper

Funnily enough I've got one of those sting ray bikes sat in my shed. A mate dropped it off, saying it "would make an amazing electric bike, you can do it for me!" I said at the time, might get a front wheel motor that would fit, but it would be a bit lacking in traction. Doesn't look a very...

Help! Question for Bafang 850C dispaly owners.

Got the same display, mine starting losing the time after maybe 9mths of use, I'd assumed it was the internal battery, and haven't bothered doing anything with it yet

    Kit supplied front light test

IMO better off with front and rear lights running off the main bike battery, so you've always got them and they've always got power. If you're using it on the roads/cyclepaths you need a front light that has a cut off to the light pattern so you don't dazzle everyone coming towards you

Help! PSW conversion kit on Carrera Subway 2?

Hydraulic disc brakes are great, much better than mechanical disc, which are better than rim/V brakes. But my first electric conversion was on a 26" wheel bike with V brakes, that old thing has done almost 5,000 miles now. More powerful motor than you're wanting, plenty of hills, and I didn't...

kit for new donor bike - Schwinn Interlink Urban Bike

Yep I mean changing down gears as you roll up to a junction. You might not need to actually brake, so I will pull on the levers enough to activate the sensors so I can pedal to get down some gears ready to take off again

kit for new donor bike - Schwinn Interlink Urban Bike

I've ordered one of the same clearance schwinn bikes off ebay, still not been collected by dpd yet...... £98 inc delivery for a bike with hydraulic disc brakes! Defiantly worth fitting brake sensors; a) for safety b) you can use them as a clutch to change down gears
