Humans Could Run 40 mph, in theory

(about 60+ Km) I guess I can toss my bike. Maybe we could apply more downforce to the head. (other than a club) Humans Could Run 40 mph, in Theory - Yahoo! News

New e-bike in my stable...iZip Via Mezza Enlightened

This is what's offered at the Walmart (down the street from me) Walmart.com: I-Zip 2008 EZ Go Hybrid Electric Bicycle: Bikes, Scooters & Skates It's lead acid, but I'm not sure what similarities it may have with the other I-zip. Probably shape mostly. I've looked at it off and on...

Knocking sound from my EZee Torq

Ha, yes, that would be a fair description too. So, when I open it up it will either be fractured gear works or a tiny shed inside.

Knocking sound from my EZee Torq

Well, I'm down to the motor gears as the problem. The noise has increased to constant noisyrattley clunking -- parts slowly scrambling like eggs? And it's all kinds of unevenness rolling it backwards. Don't know as I'll get to it until February. I guess I'll be one of the few whose...

    Are ebikers saving the planet?

I agree you can go too far. But in both directions of over-control and under rather than just one way. Giving someone power to do something without checks and balances is no good whether investment bankers or government. Without law you can take on thugs by yourself -- with too much, the...

    Are ebikers saving the planet?

"Get into banking" Hah, that probably is the lesson! My biggest problem with too much deregulation -- as it seems (at least over in the U.S.), is not that it doesn't fail as the free marketers insist is the natural order to keep things in balance, but that it can (and has) failed massively...

Knocking sound from my EZee Torq

A 5 connector is in a tiny plastic box on my bike on the fork along with 3 other wires that look like they are connected together with male female leads. I could not pull these 3 leads apart easily though, so I did not press to seperate them, and left them as is, for now. If I should need to...

    Are ebikers saving the planet?

...I think I meant to say it is constantly correcting, or not perfect usually -- not exactly what I put there. EDIT: as far as understanding complex things, I have to share a favorite quote I pulled from article about IBM building a computer model said to be smarter than a cat (some...

    Are ebikers saving the planet?

Also, I consider Flecc an expert in my not professional opinion, but that's because his indepth knowledge can be tested regularly (by me!) ;)

    Are ebikers saving the planet?

As a layman, non-scientist, non-expert, and not really able to comprehend the full complexity of the issue though I do keep reading more to understand more, I would argue from a logical viewpoint (as a non-expert) the most logical thing I can do (for the meantime) is concur with the larger group...

Knocking sound from my EZee Torq

Hi Flecc, after looking at your wiring diagram: dagnostics ...and then looking at the bike, and the amount of insulation and number of connecting ties they added, I thought it might be best to come back and ask in what general location will I find the "five way connector" before I start...

Thanks Flecc. I'll start a look, and hope for anything but the last one of course.

Knocking sound from my EZee Torq

That started tonight. It definitely only occurs under power, not just when the wheel is spinning. I can't really tell anything different power-wise, just the noise. I've looked at it, and just can't see anything at all. Although, when I first took off tonight, it almost sounded like...

Long Term Test Outcome - eZee battery

I suppose if I had to guess, I will likely not see another 1000 miles on it, unless I absolutely baby it. 500 hundred maybe, would probably be more like it, I'm betting. And maybe not that.

Long Term Test Outcome - eZee battery

My Ezee Torq battery (10ah) has 2200 miles and 6 months on it. It's showing the effects now. I'm not really sure how fast it's going to deteriorate at this point or when it will really be pointless to continue with it. At the moment it's not really affecting my rides, I just am noticing the...

Advice needed - Ezee li-polymer dead after 6 mths

I don't know how many charges I have on my Ezee Li-poly, but I've racked up 1821.9 miles so far. (probably closer to 1900 as I've forgotten to attach my odometer every once in awhile)

    Jamming disc brake.

One of my disc brakes on the Torq 2 will lock up after sitting inside. There is an extreme temp outside/inside difference, which is the only thing I can come up with as to why it happens. It snaps loose everytime with a good squeeze, so far, so no problems. Just a bit of curiousity...

    Torq 2 derailleur

Thanks James, the first one of those links I looked at, looked like the same equipment (whether it was exactly or not), and I was able to figure it out. (the adjustments up top near the control). Sometimes I might think of things like looking up the company online :) , but not this time, I...
